Everyone, I must be one of the so-called "Lucky Ones" at the moment. This particular Bug is NOT affecting me at this time, which is a surprise to me, due to the number of you being affected.
I would suggest you all do the following...
- Run the MWO Repair Tool, but with ALL the CheckBoxes in an Unchecked state, EXCEPT for the last two in the "Options" Dialog (More than likely, if the fault is NOT yours, then this will give you a clean bill of health on the Game Install)
- Report your System Specs (OS/GPU/RAM/Motherboard/AntiVirus/FireWall/'Driver Software'... Possibly Other Personal Startup Programs, as they can sometimes collide with MWO...) here on the Forums, in this thread... That way, PGI can know what they're up against.
- Turn OFF any System OverClocking, if you have any active, in order to ensure Maximum Stability of your computer. (PGI's usage of CryEngine v3 is KNOWN to cause crashes on OverClocked Systems... It just pushes them too far.) You may find that MWO stops crashing if you had to disable any OverClocks before trying again.
- ONLY if necessary because Item #1 failed to pass and you had to Repair, FIRST make a Backup of your MWO Profile, THEN rebuild it from scratch... (I am NOT going to be the reason you lost all your important screenshots and/or special config files.)

same here, pls fix it, PGI :-)
btw: I ran the repairtool several times, am familiar with it and: it doesn't solve this, sadly.
*updating drivers to newest experimental to make sure it's not the graph.card (though that thing is working fine and flawlessly outside of mwo)

For me it seems to occure, when i write 1-2 messages in chat in the group window.
If i don't chat a message everything is stable and fine.

If you open a new word document before playing you can recover from the freeze. Just tell windows to reboot and when it says there are still applications open cancel the shutdown. The system should be responsive again after this. You might have to restart your anti virus program after this.

this bug is anoying like hell, why no hot fix as quickly as possible.
Every time (100%) cancel contract it´s a game crash, and about 80% of leaving group is the same bug.
So pls care about you GroupPlayers a bit more cause ...it´s a dying breed since the last patches #gameplaychanges, make it at least playable,
thx a lot
yours sincerly M U R D O C K
P.S.: will buy a mech-pack when fixed

It is either with opening/closing friends list and or leaving a Group. Causes client to fatal error. Can't even send off an error report.
Been happening for 3 weeks now, causing client crashes constantly.
There is zero issue with my system or game as I have not changed anything for months now driver wise and game repair tool reports no drama.
