So you have to be a follower on twitch for at least 24 hours to be able to post in chat?

Nice job PGI... nice job.

The twitch chat is way too heavily moderated.

its always more satisfying to watch blue lasers, ppcs, direct fire weapons because those are the ones that show off pilot skill...
and i watch WC so that i can watch that skill...

if i wanted to watch brainless skill-less lurms fly around all day, i just need to click the QP button at the top of the screen.... i'll get a first hand experience.

Fair enough, i guess i'm getting something out of it either way, the main thing is the teams i saw fought hard and despite the speed the skill of the players was still evident, i guess it was more strategic than pin point true, but I can watch pinpoint sniping all day on e sports so it was ok to see something new.

I'm not convinced that the lurms are "skill less" in the sense that they are available to both teams and thus the most effective use of them will help win the match, and they can't boat them like you can in QP.

Pity about the speed of the mechs making it difficult to find cover though.

All said and done this experiment is a one year thing tied to MW5 so one way or another i doubt we will see it again.

I watched a PUG player's recording of a "Mama's Match" (One Anni and 4+ Standard 60 Urbies) [I know it as Swarm btw] on Rubellite and had more fun watching that than I did suffering through the commentary and salt surrounding the Semi-Finals. The players in the drop sounded like they were having more fun, I think that is part of it. It was silly, creative and fun. Can you say the same about the Semi-Finals?

PGI has taken ideas from streamers before (unapologetically and w/out credit) so maybe they can farm some ideas for the next World Champs. (A Spooder Race maybe?)

Stock was a nice idea, but in practice, it is failing.

Blame PGI, blame the playerbase, I don't care.

I am here for the LULz that I find in wacky group drops. (QG's WTF wednesday comes to mind) Comp play means nothing to me.

This is not an eSports game. Never was. Square Peg, Round Hole. Catering to TryHards just drives MechDads away (temporarily?).

edit: How come no Solaris7 mode in the World Champs? Thought they might want to highlight that mode. Missed opportunity?

I've spent my salt and 2 cents. Enjoy.

Nice my post got deleted.
Mind Police once more striked again.

Then once again:

I will not follow PGI, only that I can post in twitch chat.
Dear PGI don't force us to like your game.

I'm not surprised the twitch chat is being heavily moderated. When I put on the tournament briefly I could see people trolling in the chat. We get it, you don't like stock mode. Don't be children about it :I

  • Match 15: Phoenix Legion (#5) vs ISENGRIM (#7) ... Two solid, experienced units will fight it out to keep advancing.
  • Match 16: Russian Jade Falcon (#8) vs 228th -Swamp Foxes- (#6) ... Two more solid and experienced teams gunning for a chance to advance.
  • Match 17: [loser of EmP vs JG-x] vs [winner of PHL vs ISEN]
  • Match 18: [loser of EON vs 228] vs [winner of RJF vs 228S]
