The one saying it. I love MWO always have. I even have my own
Me YouTube channel. Trust me I love it but
Idk what's going on. I don't know if it's because I'm in tier 1 and 2
I don't know if the mechs I always loved got nerfed. Or maybe
I'm just not a good pilot anymore. It's wierd.
I feel like I have just gotten horrible in the past few months
Loss after loss after loss after death after death low damage
Scores alot. The builds I used to love I now dislike. Dakka is
Not the same. Maybe I need to get gud again right?
This past week has been really rough on MWO. I have been playing
For about 5 hours now today and I think I may have survived
Two matches out of them all. Maybe 25 matches 3 of them
Wins for our team.
Nascar keeps happening more than I have ever seen it.
I feel like tier 5 pilots were better than what I'm seeing now.
Im not having fun anymore. I'm getting irritated. Same thing keeps
Happening.
And yeah I'll do well some matches. Get some kills do some high
Damage like I used to. Teams work together and we kick ***
I don't keep up with what gets nerfed and what doesn't
But something is off. I was watching some of my old videos
Earlier and noticed the builds I'm using now don't even compare to
Then.
I might just start a new account to go back.
Or maybe I just suck now
Who knows.
Just really irritating
I love MWO either way just sucks

Just for last season/month (Sept) OP did best in mediums followed by assaults, whereas lights and heavies were sub 200 MS average. The season before mediums were still his best in max score, not by much but tis still there. All avg were sub 200 MS.
And OP, this is definitely not a dig at you. It is a dig at how our PSR is setup, with its static thresholds. PSR Player Skill Rating when it should be labeled PEL Player Experience Level. See link below. The BAD part is, as previously stated, PGI has set a LOW ceiling, players will get carried (ie on a win a player can only BREAK even, but never moves down on a win)
https://mwomercs.com...-tiers-and-psr/
With that said, surviving a match/win is important but not nearly as important as what you do while still fighting, ie tis how much do you do before you go down swinging.
Post some of your favorite meds, heavies and assaults w/load outs followed by your positioning in the game (vid are great).

1. You are running a lot of matches with loadouts that aren´t exacly topnotch. As long as you are aware of it I dont see any problem with this. Especially since you are a streamer and may want to have a more varied content. Just remeber it will hurt your own performance as well as result in a higher chance to lose a game.
2. You have a really much longer face time than myself when you are trading. To me is looked like a lifetime of facetanking without any torsotwisting or movement to prevent the red ones to place the shots right where they want them.

PSR is a joke, which the MM uses. With that said, someone in Tier 3 average 230 MS over a few seasons can be different from a Tier 1 avg 230 MS over a few seasons, in general. With that said since PGI will likely not change how PSR works nor add other values for MM to select, PGI should have done a redistribution between Tier 1-4 on a regular basis, be it 6 months or 12 months.. AND might as well as have a SEPARATE PSR, aka GSR for group queue play.

This definitely. Try

Also, consider changing Torso Lock keymap to Toggle Torso Lock, missing a number of shots from torso mounted weapons when not linked up with arm crosshairs. This is allow you to switch on/off to allow line up of torso weapons.
And post some vids of where you or your team appeared to have been owned.

This is a valid point but, it's about impossible to have any competent game play with the populations as low as they are.....
Polarization of populations infers polarization of results !!! You, are on the low side and there is very little you can do to change that because the population itself is that extreme..... Your wins are when you reside on the "vet" side and your losses are when you are on the "new" side..... There is no random distribution of play anymore (and a reason I don't play anymore except for events) because the middle 66% have left the game.... You are either in the left side 15% or the right side 15% that still play.
It really bites and for many, myself included, we won't play till the population resolves itself and we'll know when we play and see "average distributions of wins and losses"....
It's not you............

Inaccurate statement. Personal competence in fact has a noticeable impact on this game. Otherwise I wouldn't have twice as many victories as defeats in solo-queue, over thousands of matches. Unless I somehow miraculously sided with the "vets" so often during those thousands of matches.
Even when I lose, in most lost matches I have done enough damage/kills to guarantee good average matchscores per each season. OP complained about low matchscores he is having during losses--and that is one place he CAN improve upon personally. A loss does not have to equal low matchscore.
Finally, OP seems to be using outdated builds. Catching up to the meta will definitely help him do better in the future.

Nah, just group up and stomp faction play queue. Best case scenario, you get to fight vs a coordinated team and have a good match, where both sides actually are trying hard to win using good mechs. Had one of these last night, team was down like 1-7, we managed to pull it back for a 48-30 (ish) win. Was a lot of fun. This is maybe 1/4 of all FP games. The other 3/4 are absolute stompings, where we just crush new teams, training units, and pug groups. It's a shame, but its not my fault they suck.

Youre probably being too aggressive and expecting people to actually push with you. Dont.
PS: my sig is years old and I keep it for the sake of irony

Yup. Play aggressively enough to get within optimal weapons range, then peek and poke away at the enemy. Playing brawl weapons (a huge mistake most players do) is literally asking to die.

Yep, lately it is just stomping or being stomped, you can count the balanced nice close game on the fingers of the hand of a guy who blew it with firecrackers at new year's eve. I also noticed, but I am paranoid and always smell conspiracy, that as soon as you get a new mech that you are trying to skill, you get inesorably matched with the losing team, and it is not just your personal perfomance, your entire team scores an average around 200 damage, while enemy team just rocks and smash.

EL, what works for you and what works for others may not be the same thing.... I've been in impossible matches that never could be won and in other matches we simply couldn't lose.....
Yes, there are smaller details that can influence game play: builds, positioning, tactical awareness as you have mentioned. But, what I have said is valid and the reason a great many players are avoiding MWO......there are no average QP games anymore.... It's why I only play a few hours a month.........they are stomps or being stomped. Even on maps I am terrible at, because I do not brawl very well...........yes, we stomped a team mercilessly and I ended up with several kills and a lot of damage.........that's not even close to being right....
I know, we never agree on anything but, in this case, I'm pretty sure a lot of players are getting tired of "absolute values".....stomps or stompings.....
