Thanks for fixing these bugs. My preference obviously would have been for them not to be there in the first place, and I'm still dubious about releasing an overhaul to the heat system with some of the operations skill tree not behaving as intended. Not to mention flamers and stealth armor "under the microscope" which I suspect is newspeak for "we don't really know how this is going to pan out".

However, I'm not a game developer so I doubt I could do much better, and the Champion looks pimp as ****, so GG?

Also have you noticed a bug in the UI in game? It relates to the chassis you are piloting when spectating after your death. I watched someone earlier in a "UrbanMech Marauder MAD-IIC-B" I assume this isn't a new feature that allows Urbie pilots to strap an assault 'mech to their backs.

On the PTS servers, those weapons and equipment were pretty much unicorn status. Tack on a healthy dose of "PTS servers aren't entirely indicitave of live servers" and I think it's reasonable that a few peices of niche equipment won't be well understood until after the global changes go live.

Hell, you could take that a lot further, and ask whether the global change is a boon more to bralwers, who can make more dps out of the heat changes, or the laser mechs, which gain a larger amount of dissipation, both raw and percentage wise.

One way or another, this patch is gonna usher in a new meta, IMO.

They know exactly what's going to happen. They just refused to acknowledge the feedback. Load up a few Flamers (3 at least, 4 for the sweet spot) and go stun-lock people at 90% heat and -maybe- 6-7 points (on 20-30 DHS builds) of heat to work with to fire weapons. It'll stunlock all but the coldest of builds.

That feedback was given during both PTS 2.0 and 2.1 (I should know, I tested it rather extensively and provided the feedback); and the math was already done to show it was going to be almost as bad with the patch they put out today.

It's really tempting to get out there and abuse it, myself, but part of me is disgusted enough at PGI implementing a patch with such a -potentially game breaking- issue in place that I don't know if I will or won't.

Thank you, Ms. Tina Benoit... Glad to have the HotFix Patch... and glad to hear we'll get something to make up for the massive, game-killing hiccup. B)

Also, now that I've got that HotFix loaded, time to see how it performs on my computer. ^_^

At least you can actually get in.

I patched AFTER the hotfix, and the game hangs on log-in. then locks when you click exit. 3 finger salute and close it down in the task manager.

After 2 months this is finally being fixed? Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder when all the other bugs are getting fixed though. Posted Image

I'm guessing loud complaining in the patch feedback finaly did something?

You know what I wonder most?
Was that fix for the windows in the work for months and PGI included it because its finally ready, or did it really just take a moment to fix and just haven't bothered until the whining got them.

So... why is say the Raven and Incubus showing up as "Zeus Raven" and "Zeus Incubus" while in game?

I saw this while piloting my Skokomish.

I must admit, this patch has dented my view of PGI a bit.
You guys are usually great with patching, and the odd hotfix afterwards is so small that its not even worth mentioning. However, a patch that makes the game effectively unplayable should never have shipped. If you had serious doubts you should have pulled the patch, handed out some premium time and said, sorry guys(gals) this wasn't ready, it didn't make the passing grade, we will ship it as soon as we are happy with it. Unless it was a server issue, then obviously you need to look at your UAT process.
I will say this, I work for a group that has over 1k developers and an equal number of testers and what you guys do is truly amazing with you severe resource constraints.
So chin up buckaroo, next time will be better :)

That's because the Free Active Premium Time does NOT get Injected to User Accounts until after the Indicated Time Period has passed. You won't have it until after PGI sees who logs on between 2018-10-16 @ 15:00 PDT and 2018-10-17 @ 17:00 PDT, then sets up the Injection Sequence to happen. So log in, go play, and enjoy when it arrives. Or if you've already played all you want to for now, hold off on Logging In again until you're ready to use what's already coming your way for being on during this particular 26-Hour Period. :)

I have an i5 8600 with gtx 1050ti, 16gb ram... Isn't much better than the i5 3330 with same card and 8gb ram that I replaced.

No other game I play runs like this.

Any other reports of audio issues in Solaris? A pulsing tone takes over all audio.

ECM nullifying Artemis bonuses have affected SRM's as well.

Congratulations, you have nerfed. SRM's. Again.

Ditto
Maybe a "bit" of optimization is in order?

Worst offender is Solaris City
Spoiler

Dips down to 50fps, sigh (and my god, look at all that aliasing going on).

7600K @5.2 Ghz, 16GB RAM (3200 CL14), Samsung 960EVO M2 SSD and a RTX 2080ti
2560x1080, everything at highest setting, but only postAA.
Sooo, 50fps, using a highly overclocked Intel and an RTX 2080ti, yeah, lets just say other games at ultra with better AA run wayyy better and don't dip below 100fps.

Other maps run better, but man.

And before anyone says temps, CPU and GPU are watercooled.

P.S. am too lazy to rip out my old board, redo the cabling and pipes just to get 6 or 8 cores @5Ghz or so.
Maybe wayyy later, not feeling the need in any other title.
