However, I'm not a game developer so I doubt I could do much better, and the Champion looks pimp as ****, so GG?
Also have you noticed a bug in the UI in game? It relates to the chassis you are piloting when spectating after your death. I watched someone earlier in a "UrbanMech Marauder MAD-IIC-B" I assume this isn't a new feature that allows Urbie pilots to strap an assault 'mech to their backs.

On the PTS servers, those weapons and equipment were pretty much unicorn status. Tack on a healthy dose of "PTS servers aren't entirely indicitave of live servers" and I think it's reasonable that a few peices of niche equipment won't be well understood until after the global changes go live.
Hell, you could take that a lot further, and ask whether the global change is a boon more to bralwers, who can make more dps out of the heat changes, or the laser mechs, which gain a larger amount of dissipation, both raw and percentage wise.
One way or another, this patch is gonna usher in a new meta, IMO.
They know exactly what's going to happen. They just refused to acknowledge the feedback. Load up a few Flamers (3 at least, 4 for the sweet spot) and go stun-lock people at 90% heat and -maybe- 6-7 points (on 20-30 DHS builds) of heat to work with to fire weapons. It'll stunlock all but the coldest of builds.
That feedback was given during both PTS 2.0 and 2.1 (I should know, I tested it rather extensively and provided the feedback); and the math was already done to show it was going to be almost as bad with the patch they put out today.
It's really tempting to get out there and abuse it, myself, but part of me is disgusted enough at PGI implementing a patch with such a -potentially game breaking- issue in place that I don't know if I will or won't.
