I know that most of those one-alpha-kill guys will go berserk over this change, but for me, a lurmer, the heat changes brought a noticeable effect..

I can Lurm longer without overheating, while chain firing, so my damage scores have become even better..

I don't know it it was just a good night, but last night, I did 1500, 1200, 1050, and so on damage, all on non-polar maps, all with 1-3 solo kills, and 2-5 kills... So I guess this heat change was good for lurmers..

PGI the latest patch has failed.
Your effort to fix whatever you were trying to fix is worse.
Clan laser vomit is worse now than when you introduced them.
Yeah yeah dps is down, but they fire cooler and more often.
What sense does that even make.

Well i can only guess but i think what pgi wanted to achieve is that you have to expose yourself more often to do the same damage. The risk of taking return fire to damage output is greater now. But maybe i overestimate pgi's genius and they just messed it up. If their goal was TTK then they failed misserable. Anyway I like the change and the opportunities it offers for the future. So I hope they balance everything around it.

Bingo. This was a massive buff to LRM's. My supernova with 4 LRM 20's is effectively heat-neutral now. The rain never stops!

ATMs also got their groove back, if only partly. Was running my Mad Dog and Scorch last night, doing some major damage in quite a few games. If I had a team that was just decent, I did good. With a good team, I was wrecking people. The closer they get, the faster they fall.
