So simple idea: take the existing maps, and re-skin them to create alternate maps (with their own temperature profiles).
Some maps would be simple: Just a change of season, or a lighting change, or a filter. Some might require more work (anything with tons of trees, for instance).
Almost all of them would need the names altered to omit the temperature-indicating part.
And voila. People will vote for the best maps, instead of just voting for the coldest maps most of the time. Polar Highlands and Frozen City are two of the most popular maps and they're two of the worst, depending on the game mode (although I'd love to see the pre-"update" Frozen City back). Meanwhile, the least-popular maps are usually Caustic and Terra Therma (another map that could use a rollback, honestly), primarily because they're hot.
Players would vote for the base map, as they do now, but the map's skin, and thus climate, would be random.

you can not make simple new texturing handcrafted maps...one of the old maps has up to 10 handpainted Layers with Brush Tools.
4-to 5 textures in 100m for a realistic look..the hill walls have a other tecture as the sandy region before and the pebbeled region across a way or around a single monolith ...
You never use the SDK or build a Map ? im thinking right? the most not seeing all the little variations of textures in the Maps and the detailed setups , only miss it when its not ,while the map looks clean and sterile.
