So, yesterday I got a promo email from PGI about how there's only 40 days left till mechcon..

I suspect all of you got the same email..

So I was wondering, what do you guys think will be the "big announcement" this year?

4) Introduction of CrossTech into MWO

there really isnt anything they can do with this game to significantly improve it at this point. that would require massive investment and a full dev team. the mech pack model does not fund significant development on the game, especially with it all going to fund mw5 dev. mwo is just the thing they milk to stay alive as a company. were going to have to wait till after post mw5 to see something major happen (and that thing may very well be the death of the game).

we might see maps (with < 15% new tileset), modes or tweaks, we might see is omnis, we might see more ui work posing as a new feature (solaris), or possibly a weapons pack. these are all low hanging fruit and its what i expect from pgi. it will not significantly improve the game, but it may provide the novelty the game needs to delay the end. anything they announce will be taken with a 100 ton grain of salt.
