They gave the Kintaro some armor quirks. And it still didn't really raise it's presence. I think I vaguely remember seeing one the last time I played in earnest. Pretty sure he was using LRMs, excellent use of that armor. Perhaps they should buff it's agility. Or something to make it standout. Maybe give it some spread reduction and missile velocity. Distinguish it a little more without going straight power creep.

I like my KTO-18, iv put so many arctic wolves into the dirt this event so far - they go hey I can totally kill this sub par combine mech with my brand new not skilled out clan srm mech. Splat, every time.

srm6s are bad right now, both clan and IS
my point was that kintaro is a bad mech, how is srm bushie different to play than a kintaro, it's exactly the same only better
go open the mech lab, look at the armour values for the ACW, now look at them for the bushie/kintaro, now come back and tell me ACW doesn't sacrifice survivability in comparison to those 2
assassin is definitely closer in playstyle to the acw, it has less firepower, but will generally be running faster, is more difficult to hit, and has JJs. The 7-8 SRM6 ACW is a meme mech, if you don't understand why it's not good I can't help you
Yes SRMs are not as good as they used to. Now you have to get much closer to use them effectively or hit single components.
Bushies are different and in most situations like poking outright better. If you use a kin taro for poking you won't be very effective. Look at the mobility and how you spread damage with a bushie and a Kintaro. Maybe then you figure it out yourself.
If you open the Mechlab you will see a tonnage difference between the bushie, kintaro on one side and the ACW on the other. Armor is not survivability. It is a combination of mobility, speed, armor and hitbox design.
Thx to Clantech you can use the ACW as a harasser like the assassin if you use Artemis or the srm2/srm4 combination for maximum alpha strike. Or use 2PPCs. But there are other clan mechs that can do this better. If you think the ACW srm6 or srm4 boat is a joke then try it yourself. Play it like a big piranha, fight at knife range and enjoy the solo kill farming. Should be even better with the heat changes now. Btw thats how you play the srm kintaro too.

Ummm my Kintaro rakes other mechs... 5 Rocketlauchers and 2 Snubnose PPC's... its fast, agile, and takes a beating like an Atlas. My first blast generally kills most any mech I come across, then I just run around and PPC the crap outta everyone else in the match. Generally score a minimum of one kill and over 700dmg when I run it.

The ACW hits hard, but it really is one of the most fragile glass cannons out there, and that's saying something when you look at all the glass cannon Clan mechs. I want to like it but it's so feast or famine. Sometimes you shred multiple mechs in a row, and other times an assault looks your way and half your mech is gone. I would take an Assassin over the Arctic Wolf 10/10 times.

Equal durabaility? I don't see Kints very often but on-paper they should be way more durable than the instantly crippled Arctic Wolves I see every other match on the enemy team.
Also Clans don't get MRMs, they depend too heavily on autoaim missiles (SRMs are the only aimable missiles Clans get and their effective range is super short because of spread).
All of that being said if I'm gonna use a missile medium I'm gonna use the Wolverine 7D. One of the worst mechs in the game before the Civil War, but after Civil War it became a Super Saiyan MRM bomber. MRM50 Wolvie is bae.
