There has been a lot of complaining from the Loyalists about the event... but from my perspective, it's a lot of fun. Thanks for putting on the event. Got like 7 drops in last night, all were very fast with little to no waiting. This is much better than usual, and given that FP is my favorite mode, it's great. The rewards are fantastic as well, this is a lot of MC / Warhorns for an event.

Please keep doing events like this, regardless of what the Loyalists think. Though, I would suggest instead of doing faction specific events if at all possible, do generic "IS vs IS", "IS vs Clan", or "Clan vs Clan" events, to allow loyalists to play as much as possible. IS vs IS would still lock out clan loyalists, but unlike Steiner vs Davion or whatever at least other IS loyalists could play.

PGI already gutted the loyalist population. I admit - I don't get why they bother with faction specific anything, they already made that irrelevant.

Events and rewards for FW however are very good and I'm happy to see it happening.

Most of these loyalist units don't play FP that often, they are the minority.

Please keep it coming!

Yeah it's great to see some folks in the FP queue again.

The last couple of weeks it's been a desert, even during the usual short prime time.

Well said for a Davion pretending to not be a Davion.

Completely agree about making it generic IS vs IS and Clan vs Clan etc

I don't think I ever pretended to not be a Davion, lol. My unit name is DEXF, or Davion Expeditionary Forces. I'm the vanguard of the Davion armored fist. Once I've completed studying the various enemies of my house, and report back to Victor Davion their various weaknesses, we will crush your puny factions and reunite not only the crumbling houses of the Inner Sphere under a single banner, a Davion banner, but we will bring the rebellious spawn of Kerensky to heel as well. You will tremble before our wrath!

Don't worry, Victor Davion is merciful, and your unknowing contributions to His war effort will not go unnoticed. I have been informed you will be blessed by having a relatively quick and painless death, while others (*cough* 10D *cough*) will not be so.... fortunate.

(I've been reading way too many warhammer 40k novels lately I think)

The nice thing I've seen so far with these events is the fact there have been very little to no ghost drops. Didn't have a single ghost drop during the CJF vs Wolf event and we were getting games. Only had 1 game where we actually had to really work for it despite half of us didn't take meta to start.

Keep making events like this. we need more of our game's population to return to faction play for a bit.

Are you surprised ? Halloween loot bags are easiest to score in QP even if you lose .

Even easier in Solaris, which combined with the Solaris event, meant that even 2v2's there were popping for the first week or so of the new season. it's dead again now, of course, but for a little while it was fun.

*shrug* the instant you go back and tell them that rushing like lemmings in a tower defense game is a bad idea... you will be exiled... again

Guys! The solution is to take midrange laser trading mechs / long range sniping mechs, and slowly push in from multiple angles to take out the enemy until you have a clear shot into the base! Don't take LRM's, and brawl pushes from a single angle are a terrible idea!

*gets shot for heresy*

There is only one Clan, and that's Clan Davion.

Early on and at the end Davion was full of people who wanted to play at a better level but Davion was always plagued by two things -

1. Huge pug population. You couldn't do anything more complex than 'Go here' with 95% of teams. However, Davion probably trained up more total players to FW than any other 3 factions put together.

2. As soon as people started getting good and getting a feel for FW they'd get recruited away, save for a few officers and such who just kept the training going.

Honestly I think the loss of the Davion population was probably one of the biggest blows for FW. They were one of the biggest, openest and most active faces for finding new players in QP or anywhere and getting them into a teamspeak and taught the basics of FW. There were times when I'd go into Davion TS and there would be 300 + players in FW drops. Sure, a lot of them were newbies or mechdads and such but the were in, playing and having fun and that made the game go.
