you guys know that when there's not enough players, PSR doesn't kick in, right?

So... when you have 20 min que time in solo drop, it's not that there aren't 24 tier 1-3 players, it's that there are literally not 24 players...

(sigh, now I am sad thinking about it...)

That's why I've been pushing for consolidating the queues as much as possible and also giving the match maker flexibility in terms of team sizes.
It doesn't help that the population is split over so many areas, but it also doesn't help that the game doesn't allow smaller teams to duke it out before it starts to look outside of the tiers.
Same thing for Quick Play Group Queue.
Faction Play doesn't have the tier/psr division but it also doesn't have the number of players available in the mode to reliably get matches.
And all modes suffer from lack of variety in the opponents due to lack of numbers.

The system needs flexibility and to me the best thing to do is allow 4v4, 8v8 or 12v12 based on what it can match first.
I don't care if it's a small match if I can get them one after another with next to no waiting.

I'll say it again:
If you can't play the game, you won't play it at all.

The opposite is also true:
If we can play the game, we will play it more.

On the coms bit.

Most of the "upper" players dont or hardly use comms... we already know what to do when we see it and move accordingly. So disabling that wont do much IMO.

But if its that easy to drop with Shawn.. that means its easy to drop aganst shawn... (jumps in PIR)

FTFY

Seriously what's wrong with 'upper' players they don't think at all just rotate around the standard points like headless chickens

If only Salt was sweet and ALL the "Pots" could get along with ALL the "Kettles", this place might have actually had a chance to make a real difference with MWO in the recent past.

Sadly, Salt is so prevalent, while being very Bitter, and the "Pots" always seem to know better, and continues to insult the "Kettles"...

But keep insulting the Dev at every turn, it seems to be working... "NOT!" :(

Nothing at all has worked with these devs so mocking them has become the only option left.

People have been trying that since Beta. It hasn't worked yet, what makes you think it ever will? All it's good for is outing yourself as the kind of person that thinks it's a good idea.

Ironic that all my interactions with pgi devs in random qp or the customer support through emails on issues is mostly positive and mostly professional. Getting mocked by a dev that just blew your mech in half is an odd situation. As for the two at the top I've not interacted with them which is a good thing as I don't pull a d bag move and lose six years of stuff. I've worked jobs where middle and upper management had no clue to do things but those lower did all the work getting only white noise when trying to improve things to 'the uppers.'

We can bash pgi's management all we want but it's pretty much universally agreed that customer support and the art dept are top notch.

No we don't, we watch the rest of you rotate like headless chickens and then blast the targets that appear exactly where we expect them to appear, hopefully faster than the people on our team get blasted by the similar upper-level players on the other team.

Wouldnt call it a fix..

But there is a lot of standardization with the tactics on these maps due to the lack of variety. By that i mean look at the maps people "hate" polar and artic for example. Both dont really have a central "hub" as it where to just circle around. Yes there are "hot spots" but no real pillar as it where. Make a map that is flat and watch nascar just be silly ;)

Add to that how small these maps are really, with way to much concealment/structures just adds to the "get to there asap and brawl" mentality.

Ive said it once ill say it again. PGI could learn a few things about game mode and map design from the Mech Warrior Living Legends crew.
