Huh... Seeing these posts, I'm wondering if we'll eventually get the ability to actually target, lock-on, shoot, and damage those DropShips. Those things being powerful-yet-invincible really is kind of OverPowered on the battlefields. Plus, it would give a diversion against just hammering on opposing Mechs, provided the damage actually gets added to the "Damage Done" count and earnings at the end of a Match. I still remember how much of a Challenge that blowing one away was back in "MechWarrior 2", and really think that would add some flavor back into MWO.
The same kind of treatment needs to be given to the Base Buildings on Incursion Game Mode, and possibly the Generators on Siege Game Mode over in Faction Warfare. Heck, why can't we TAG/NARC those already, making them possible to be hit with Lock-On Weapons, but not allow locking when they aren't TAG/NARC marked? It really seems inconsistent to me.
