Long story short: Paul is promising some sort of QOL and possible enticement/motivation changes to FP sometime after Mechcon, and Chris is promising the usual never ending “balance” changes with the hope that more clan mechs will get flavor quirks and aggressively quirked IS mechs will be nerfed for reasons and some other stuff but I am not going back through to refresh my recollection.

Funny, when I point out how little has actually happened this year some people like to point out how awfully difficult game development is n stuff, same old same old.
Shame on me for getting my hope up 4 months ago when Paul wanted to give some love to FP.
Shouldn't have spent some money back then, should have known it would be another "soon".
And as for Roadmap, well just like the last times, PGI saves up everything they can for months so they have something to announce at MechCon.

Pretty much.
I suspect that the “big” MWO announcement will be as Paul has hinted in the FP thread I cited above. His revamp of a minimal nature will be presented as if it is a major change and a very big deal, even though it won’t/can’t be, at least based on the comments he has made. There will be very little said regarding changes in game play and much hype about changes to rewards and the introduction of some sort of “immersive” mechanism that will make lore based special events more common and that such events will be linked to actual in game progress on the planetary map. Something like that.
There will of course also be at least one new mech announced (likely another PGI original but who knows), and whatever Russ is hinting at regarding the Warhammer IIC (maybe a bonus variant and/or a new clan weapon introduced that will go with it). I expect some minor change to Solaris will also be announced with inordinante fanfare.
That’s about all I expect.
Man, I’d sure like a big surprise like a new map being announced and dropped, but I don’t have much hope, because like you say all the development resources are likely being directed to MW5.

would you like to buy a mechpack?

*and in case of Crusader I'd very much like to - but for christs sake fix FW already. the decline in population is alarming. look back 2 years and at those numbers; then realise it's YOUR fault PGI that we are where we are.

anyway we will be lucky if they announce a release date for mw5, and a mech pack of course.
