1262 damage per match average... strongest IS mech in game
These are kind missile boats you want for in direct fire. By time the enemy team get to your direct fire there beat to hell and really easy to kill.

There's only 3 LRM friendly maps, and you shouldn't bring a LRM boat to any others lest you drag your team down, just like that 30MPH car in 60 zone that everyone honks at and flicks off, then feel bad when they see it's a 80 year old with white hair.
Don't be that guy

That's a delusion coming from doing it wrong. Thought you'd know how to do it right with that kind of stat on a lurmboat but I guess FP doesn't teach you that

Direct fire is best most of the time. I count ATM as direct fire because there really best at face hugging range using them long range most of the time is silly. Unless you are trying to down some one touch trying to get away.

Good, them fighting words

I can't show freaking 12 wlr and over thousand damage so it wont look as impressive.

Lurmboat is suprenova. Stalker is there because its conveniently placed below SNV, and its stats support my statement of roughly similar performance within a class and by a same player.

My point was that you're wasting the LRM boat by using it in QP. My clan LRM boats have even higher damage per match lol.

oh please, there's like a hundred or two people that can use lrms properly.
I dont argue they're good though. All I ever wanted is that PGI wouldn't fuсk up streaks and ATMs to address that small lurmageddon issue they created with mindless buffs. And yet they did.
And the most hilarious thing about it is that ammo buff was intended to resolve ammo shortages on stock loadouts for, what was it, MWOWC whatever the hell that means. And that stock mechs idea itself wasn't received well from what I've read.

You're missing the point. Their spread is innate, regardless of fire mode, regardless of player skill. LRMs will always spread damage to **** and back. There are (minor) elements of skill in using them, but those specific with LRMs have to do with your ability to seek and hold locks.
I'll tell you where LRMs are immensely useful and I always take them: in HBS Battletech, where I've modded my game to cut the 75% base chance to hit down to 50% and given all lights and mediums extra evasion. A situation where there is no human aiming lasers or ACs, where all damage is spread, and hitting with any given shot is unlikely. That's where LRMs are useful, when getting damage at all is a matter of volume of fire.

Forcing the enemy to cover is no movement control?
Making open spaces deadzones is no map control?
Forcing an assault to show me his arm to shield is no control?
You probably do. Even at T1 you're dropping with people down to T3 at least, and there are plenty of people who got into T1 through sheer inertia. It's part of why TTK isn't in an even worse situation than it already is.
But again, the flipside is true as well, barely anyone can spread damage decently. I have direct fire builds that can kill, outright, a STD Atlas from the front with three alphas. LRMs can't do that.
There's a reason LRMs are popular among newer and less-skilled players: they're easy to use, and one's cohort at that level of skill is less able to avoid them. Against decent players, as a decent player, you're rarely going to get mileage out of them if you're not dropping as a premade and on a favorable map. Your one match getting to farm damage on Polar against spuds doesn't make up for your six or seven matches doing nothing of import.

Just to throw some more stats in for the stat warriors to fight win. my currnt lrm usage plus narc. I blame my 2012 pc. Also note I don't play cw/fp much so this is mostly qp play.
LRM 20 235 284,705 91,372 32.09%
LRM 15 297 392,037 123,102 31. 40%
LRM 10 381 319,517 103,070 32. 26%
LRM 5 419 307,166 96,139 31.30%
NARC 197 4,738 1,416 29.89%
If it moves and is red I bomb it. Solid lock and plz hold luks over rated. It's hard to run out of 7-10 tons lrm ammo. Also I hate wild life and it must be nuked especially those birds on forest or those snow sharks on frozen. I dislike dirt too! Always making footprints after my mech for the enemy lights to find me. Dirt is evil.
