so, having friends is hard to do? because, that's a 12 man. and the key to stopping spawn camping? Use competitive builds, and work together for once. Oh! and lrming *from* spawn usually doesn't help.
EDIT: I mean, face it. the moment anyone that does not have a competitive mindset at all goes against people that can build decent mechs and work together, and hit the broad side of a barn in a game as slow as this, and not use lock on, is when they break. So basically, grow up. Please.

But I do agree that having Ghost Drops on a prime time Friday is really unusual : If MechCon is to blame, then it's going to be packed with supportive MWO players

I didn't ghost drop, but it took me ~20 min to get a match... against a very MechCon unsupportive premade

The absence of news/momentum/development in the three months prior to MechCon always stalls the game.

That's nothing new. But it's mostly because they waste a staggering amount of time, money, and resources on this idiotic event instead of using said time, money, and resources on game development. New maps, for example.

That's like saying saying "If you bury that man he will die!" Getting hit by a bus previously was just a set back.

HAHA! You amuse me with the grow up bit. Sadly science has proven my body can no longer physical grow but thanks for asking about that. Oh about fw any coordinated group can overcome the lesser coordinated one. As for 'competitive' mindset that tends to vary a lot. See I've been here for about six years so I've done time with those 'competitive' mindsets. In fact at my height of fw play I was doing three hours four nights a week with a unit which lasted two years.
Some people only see winning a match by any and all means as the only way to have 'fun.' Others like me simply don't give a **** about playing like that. Seems your one of the 'competitive' mindset. Does it hurt to lose? Or do you just go meh and onto next match?

I go meh, and onto the next match. I have big boy panties that let me deal with more skilled opponents on a loss, and try to get better at the game. Instead of "WAAAAAAAAAH! 12 MAN! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

Bravo for you! It's always fun meeting someone not afraid of those big scary unit tags. Seriously pugs freak the f out when they see a full 12 man. Getting better is good too. I use to fail so much until I got into a decent unit. So you in a steady unit or bounce from unit to unit?

Cool. That's not easy to do. First unit I was in had a lot of in-fighting over chain of command and who was better or best at drop calling. Many times the DC (drop caller) would fail to take into account members' mechs and each members' play style forgoing someone's expertise in an area making them do something which they were less skilled at. One instance being trying to make our most experienced light pilots try and play and drop assaults as much as possible and try brawling.
How competitive the unit? i've been in,very briefly, those must use meta and win or else units which had no problems kicking someone from the unit after a loosing match for something as pathetic as not going to a grid when said grid was impracticable for the unit to move to due to their mech speed and the combat action going on.
Also something to spice up unit life. Try random member themed drop nights. All ac 20 ravens or 3l er ll sniping training night.

CW died for me with the faction play events, a pain for true loyalist faction players.
So stopped caring and switched over to Battlefield V.
