Well I think having Alex do them is good for consistancy plus he's super talented and has been working with them for a long time now so the other artists are only really able to show us what we could have.

Consistency is very important, I'd say. PGI/Alex have developed a certain identity for their art, which turned out to be quite influencial. So it makes sense that they continue. This western warmachine styling also fits BattleTech even though I will always have a soft spot for its anime roots.

Still, I do hope Alex takes a look at the artwork in this thread for inspiration.

Hahaha yeah I think anything other than some wild west style warhorn would be wrong and refrencing the Good, The Bad & the Ugly is just awesome.

As you can see, the 85 ton slot is the least represented for IS assaults and realistically speaking the Gunslinger would be the best, most interesting mech that we could reasonably get in this bracket.

If somebody wondering why is it taking me so long to finish Gunslinger art - i'm very lazy person spending more time procrastinating than drawing.
Btw weather where i live is same as on the picture, i'm really tired of shoveling goddamn snow everyday.

Hahaha yeah I know what you mean about snow. It's a lot of work, especially if you don't get to it right away.
Also I'm loving the gauss & lasers firing.
