PGI has graciously nerfed my mech so much into the ground, I can no longer one shot lights. They tank a full 72 alpha because of me. Because of me lights do not run this game. Because of me PGI has nerfed my mech so far into the ground no one is able to play it but me. Indirectly, elevating me to superstar status.
Thank you PGI for making my mech so hard to play I never see anyone else playing it. After hundreds of games online, I yet to see any other streak boat. Because of me, you have made my gameplay experience truly unique. I am the only player that can successfully pilot the streak boat with all the nerfs.
At the end of the day, you cannot stop me. But you can continue to try. My commitment to playing the streak boat is stronger now than ever. I will continue to play a style you hate, making you turn in your sleep at night knowing full well, you may be able to turn my mech into a lame duck, but you cannot stop me from playing it, or making good of it. Will you ever learn? Probably not. Since, you will not learn, I'll keep teaching, and dominating this game with 1,000+ damage and 6 kill games.
Once again thank you PGI for making me the only player capable of piloting this mech. Your all a bunch of fools.

I'd love to see any IS light with an xl "tank" your 72 alpha streak boat. Because that would mean that the same light mech could tank a dual heavy guass direct hit too. You think you're the only one who has had their preferred play style messed with from pgi's constant buff/nerf-ing? Talk to the people that use to play lights like the Jenner before and after the Rescale not including all the weapon nerfs or asinine armor of the mech being reduced to the point a 20 ton mech has more armor than a 35 ton mech even when that 35ton mech has full survival tree while the 20 ton doesn't.

I would be WILDLY surprised if PGI managed to hit al lthe right notes at release but I'm not counting on them to do it either. Gameplay wise, this is going to be MWO with better graphics ( and hopefully better optimization ) the rest will be up to the community.

Considering PGI's track record, I'll wait for a few months after release when it's on 50% sale and pick it up. EVEN with all the goodies you get for MWO, I cant justify preordering the game.

I bought it mostly because of the modability.
I have this nagging feeling the mass of people counting on this will be sorely disappointed. I am basing it on PGI's history of "promises" vs. "reality".
Why are people taking PGI's word on this, especially after all that has happened?

Its just MWO with unreal engine - same static mechs - same static animations - and the story is gruesome boring
Not quite. From what I gather all clan mechs and a good deal of weapon system will not be in MW5.
Still, a much smaller choice of variety is more than made up for by not having to put up with 11 dumbasses, so I already bought MW5 despite reservations and past experiences regarding pre-purchase video games.
