Filthy "arcade" mechanic is an abomination. Has no place here or anywhere.

If people find the arcade mechanic fun, it would be beneficial to the game. Elitist attitudes and designs are why MWO's playerbase looks like this:

Fix the flamers for a real "hotfix". lol Please restore them back to what they were at the beginning of the game, many players liked them that way, plus it would save on code.

Hey guys!

We're aware of the current remaining issue with the unit member online status! Unfortunately this will have to be fixed in the January Patch.

Why wait till January? You could easily do another hot-fix!

But are you aware of removing a game content without a single line of explanation? Despite the hate/love for Escort I think we deserve to know the official reason for stripping an entire game mode from MWO and your plan for it in the future if there are any.

Well, Escort suffered the downward spiral of people not enjoying it too much right from the start. It's been downvoted, so a lot of people didn't even have a chance to really get into it. Add a VIP that is dumber than a tiberium truck, asymetrical setting and there you go. Sad to see another mode go, but these desperate means are PGI trademark. Remember Assault mode turrets? The mode was much more interesting back then. The problem was LRM turrets. But they didn't remove just the LRM turrets but all turrets. Wich brought Assault mode to more or less skirmish level. Inventing Incursion wasn't really necessary with a properly fixed Assault mode. Lots of other topics. Light mobility, the painful rescale. Letting overperforming mechs run forever, then nerf them to oblivion. Removing all the old maps. Why? It is always just a little too much about harsh "solutions" imho.

The Isengrim stats are a lot more accurate if only because the Steam charts only show stats for people playing the game through that specific service. I’ve seen several people post just the Steam chart in an effort to try and put forward the idea that only 900 people play the game. Our numbers are low, but we aren’t THAT bad.

Just a few of quick points since most folks have already addressed them in more detail.

1. Sorry to see escort go. I think the mode could have been worked to make it better (VIP piloting).

2. If PGI is reviewing game modes, how about Assault? That mode used to have turrets in proximity to the base, but those were eliminated for some reason. As it stands, the mode is just "Skirmish with Two Bases" and feels redundant.

3. In terms of map diversity, I've never understood why some seemingly simple things haven't been done, namely...
  • Including older versions of existing maps in the current rotation. Why did they have to be eliminated all together when they could have been plussed up effects-wise and kept? An example would be Terra. I don't see why the old and newer versions can't coexist, with different names surely. No one ever battles in the giant volcano with mining gantries any more, and I used to enjoy having that as a central feature of Old Terra.
  • Why aren't the time-of-day and weather effects applied to more maps than they currently are? For instance, how about rainstorms on Canyon Network or Tourmaline that would create areas of flash flooding on the map? How about a blinding blizzard on Polar Highlands that severely cuts down on visibility? I've always thought Canyon would look great at dusk or especially at night, where alternate viewing modes would have to be relied on because it would be almost pitch black.

Since July or so nothing new has come with the patches. Only laser duration -0,02 s, lrm speed +250 m/s etc. And new mechs of course.

I assume they are all working on MW5.

Also, the refresh button doesn't do anything :( I didn't see anyone mention this. Please also fix this in the January patch.

We constantly have to log out of the game and log back in to see who is online. It is very inconvenient when you are grouped up - inviting 20 people one by one only to be told they are offline. They even stay on the list after the "user is offline" message is displayed. Someone usually has to leave the group, restart their client, and get re-invited so they can refresh the friends list to see who is actually online to get people into the group.

Because they lag the crap out of the game.

Why remove escort, it is 1 of the more fun and strategic modes that works.
Except the AI could be improved.

Remove some QP from FP, then we will keep it quiet

It's not though. Defenders will always know where the attackers are and, if they aren't dense, will just go and clobber them before they can threaten the VIP.

Could you please list how powerful of computer components which your system is loaded with? Like Yeonne Greene, I unfortunately experience hard lags during time-of-day changes within battles myself. :(

My notable hardware, for reference and comparison --
  • CPU: AMD FX4300 (Slow, I know, but it's what I could have...)
  • GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 670
  • RAM: 16 GB (and I think it's Dual-Channeled)

FWIW, my computer had an i7-4930K, 32 GB of DDR3 1600 memory, a GTX970 3.75GB, and an SSD. It should not have been slowed. But when they introduced dynamic time of day, frame rates became inconsistent for whatever reason.
