Ok I threw the smallest standard engine on my Raven light mech. On its own, it weighs 1 ton, but I have to add 6 heat sinks for it to function. This engine weighs 7 tons, really. Anyone have a stat sheet of the "real" weight of engines, including needed heat sinks?

What I know so far:

Raven:

Standard 100 1
Heat Sinks 6
Total Tons: 7

Standard 175 9
Heat Sinks 2
Total Tons: 11

You can do the math in your head at a glance using Ohm's chart if you can remember that you get 1 internal heat sink every 25 engine units up to 10 at the 250 engine. Effectively you get the following:
  • 100 = 4 Internal HS (Add 6 tons to get the minimum requirement)
  • 125 = 5 Internal HS (Add 5 tons)
  • 150 = 6 Internal HS (Add 4 tons)
  • 175 = 7 Internal HS (Add 3 tons)
  • 200 = 8 Internal HS (Add 2 tons)
  • 225 = 9 Internal HS (Add 1 tons)
  • 250 = 10 Internal HS (Add 0 tons)

At 275 you get 1 optional internal heatsink per 25 engine units to a maximum of 6 at 400. They are optional because you don't get any actual heatsinks (since you already have the minimum of 10 required), you just get a slot to put one in if you want it however it will count towards your tonnage limit.

Hey guys, apologies once again things continue to be kind of crazy. Family problems ongoing, my dad is having a rough recovery post major heart attack. He's been back in the hospital twice over the past few weeks, so things are rough. I've been dealing with that on top of my Youtube channel efforts (during the busiest time of the year when it comes to games no less), plus my last year towards a Business Administration degree.

Huge thanks to everyone that reached out to offer help. Also, this update wouldn't have gone up as quick as it did if it wasn't for ArmyofWon, he was a HUGE help.

I'm still thinking over all feedback in relation to adding more information, but I don't want to over-complicate the sheets where newbies would struggle with understanding them. I've considered making "advanced" versions for more experienced players, but this probably won't be possible until sometime next month.

Ohm,
Very sorry to hear about your Dad. Will keep you, your Dad, and your family in thoughts and prayers.

I love the work you do here, so looking forward to more, but only once all other priorities are taken care of.

Warmest Regards,

Michael Striker

Nice 'Model Extras' listing... Here's a few that were not mentioned (for whatever reason):
Atlas AS7-D-DC: Command Console
Awesome AWS-9M: XL320 (the DHS were mentioned)
Raven RVN-3L: XL210, Ferro-Fibrous Armor
Jenner JR-7K: Ferro-Fibrous Armor

The XL210 on the Raven RVN-3L is noteworthy for Commando pilots as that is the biggest XL engine a Commando can mount.

Also noteworthy, the Cicada CDA-2A has -1 module slots (1 total in fact!)

Ohm, my best wishes for your dad and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

If folks are looking for a quick reference for endosteel and ferro-fibrous upgrades, I put one together in the below thread. Please feel free to re-use the data.

Ohm your engine value section doesn't list the weight of a Standard or XL 200 engine.

It does? 2nd row, 6th column on the Engine Weights section? Please say if it isn't there on the updated sheet (it should be, I'm looking at it)

Edit: Also, a bit of crowd sourcing help. Can anyone tell me the following information?

Largest Engine for the YLW?
Largest Engine for the Cicada 3C?
Largest Engine for the Raven 3L?

Because no one asked? ;)
Although, this is supposed to be a quick reference for general stats. I'll add them to the sheet in-progress and run it by Ohm.

Largest I'm seeing in the MechLab is 340.
