There's not much to know about it. In the "Mech Trees" use your match garnered mech or gxp to fill the efficiencies with no limit to how many you can fill. 3 variants of the same mech are required to unlock the Elite and Master efficiences (Elite status on a variant doubles the Basic bonuses, hence the 2X on the side). The "Pilot Trees" tab is where you unlock the ability to use the modules that are available in the mechlab.

Why are the HPS and the EHS values not always 10 times as much?

From logic point if something generate 1 HPS (heat per second) 10 EHS (effective heatsinks) should cancel this out exactly because 1 heatsink cool it down for 0.1 per second.

So for example AC2 gives 2 HPS and needs 20 EHS = fine and correct.
It also fine for the rest of AC

But why is it different for LBX? It has 0.8 HPS and so it should need 8 EHP but it only states 6

Same for most energy:
Medium Lasers generate 1 HPS and needs 14 EHS, why? Shouldn't it be just 10?

Can somebody clarify it for me? Thanks.

LB 10-X, Gauss, Machine guns and Laser EHS value are currently incorrect. The ballistics are a bit off (typos I would guess) but the laser EHS values are using the wrong formula. Here are the correct EHS values you can use until Ohm updates the chart.

EHS:
LB 10-X = 8
Gauss = 3
Machin Guns = 0
Sm Laser = 7
Med Laser = 10
Lrg Laser = 17
ER Lrg Laser = 24
Sm P Laser = 11
Med P laser = 14
Lrg P Laser = 23

I love these charts and have used them many times, but i would love it if the first one also containded module slots and maximum engine size for the variants. (theretically arm actuators would also be good to have there because that is the final fixed value of a chassis)

Does anyone have information on projectile speed? I want some numbers to back up what I'm "feeling" when I use weapons, I want to use this info to avoid grouping weapons with different projectile speeds to obtain more focused damage when I'm leading a target.

Weapon Speeds:

AC 2 = 2000
AC 5 = 900
AC 10 = 850
AC 20 = 750
UAC 5 = 900
LB 10-X = 850
Gauss Rifle = 1200
Machine Gun = 100

PPC = 1200
ER PPC = 1200
Flamer = 100

LRMs = 100
SRMs = 300
SSRMs = 200

AMS = 100
NARC = 250

Ohm already updated the excel file with it but here's a quick reference.

Cataphract (Heavy - 70 Tons)

-----------------LA-------LT-----CT------RT--------RA--------H
CTF-1X-------1E------1E------------1E+1B------2E---------
CTF-2X-------2M------1E------------1E+1B-----1E----------
CTF-3D------1E-------1E------------1E+1B---1E+1B-------------XL 280
CTF-3L-------1E-------1E------------1E+1B-----2E--------------- XL 280, DHS
CTF-4X-------2B---------------1E------------------2B-------1M

Any word on available critical slots? Can I have a quad, arm mounted AC5 beast now or do I have to wait for the Jagermech?

According to some other posts, yes, you can fit anything short of an AC20 in each arm of the 4X. So you can mount dual AC5s or a Gauss in each arm.

Some 4X drivers in game told me dual ac5 in one arm is possible, dual uac is not. So I'm guessing it's 9 critical slots in the arm. Could also be 8, but I don't see a reason for that. The 'phract doesn't have a hand like the Centurion after all.

Clearly not in the XLS doc on page #1...is there another location? I must have missed something along with the other 5 guys that asked?

Outstanding reference...Why this wasn't done by the developers is a mystery.

In the xls there is a sheet with upcoming mechs, where the "old" catapract data is stored. (data was available in previous patches) but it was changed before releasing the mech to the public.
--- advertisement ---
thats one of the reasons i created this: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/ which parses the gamefiles directly.

you can find the info to keep this lists up to date (as from the data the game uses itself) in
"$yourpath$\MechWarrior Online\Game\GameData.pak\Libs\MechLoadout"
when interpreting the file as a .rar.
someone write a tool to display the xml instead of pics/tables. better yet implement in game, that you can see right away where the hardpoints will be located (i.e. energy, left torso)

The Ultra AC 5 in your chart is entirely wrong...

The Ultra AC 5 does not fire double shots every time it fires. It fire 1 shot with about 0.55 seconds delay and then another shot. Then it has a break of about 1.5 seconds where it doesn't fire but reload ammo from the ammo hopper.

This means that when you list this weapon as doing 2 shots at a time, this is wrong.

The actualy cooldown of the weapon may be 1.1 when you factor in both the cooldown between the 2 shots and the reload but the dps would be about half of what you list. so not 9.05 but 4.55...

Can you put how many module slots each mech has? Its becoming more relevant with the new modules

I'm wondering if you can start putting available module slots in the hardpoint chart. I ask because with the adding of more modules its becoming an important piece of information and the ingame store does not list module slots. People often say that the jenner is superior in every way to the Raven but Ravens actually have more module slots so they would be much better as a scout with the new BAP and the three scout centric modules plus the capture accelerator (with master).

If all you're doing is holding down the trigger, you are correct, it will fire slower however you are a clicker you can fire double shots in a row with a 1.1 second cooldown between reloads but you run a high risk of a jam doing so. At least this was how they functioned prior to patch 1.0.150, I have not played with them yet to see if the fire rate was changed.

And thanks Kamelkaze for the CTF-4X update, they did add an extra Energy slot to the CT.
