One thing that could be of use is something that can auto-yank data from the files with each patch. Do you have the ability to create something like that?

Something like that already exists, see my last post :(

Hey Blark, I'm well aware that there have been others that have created applications that can auto-yank data from the files. Since July there have actually been many community members that contacted me about creating such an application, but then they went on to try to make their own sheets, sites, or applications. It's clear that this community could use more collaborators, and I asked DrAmnesia if he could make such an application for the purposes of helping my sheets.

You've already plugged your friend once in this thread. If he's open to sharing his application with the community, feel free to have him contact me. If not then bringing him up in such a way doesn't do much to help. I hope that you can understand where I'm coming from, let's try to keep things relevant.

Note to everyone else, all of my sheets should be updated soon.

Hey mate,

First off, he is already sharing his data with the community, it its freely accessible.
The reason why I bring him up and have him in my signature is the same reason I shared your work with basically anyone I know: you both did some great work to help the community and it deserves appreciation.

Hey guys... time for some updates! :( 1. ArmyofWon helped me with data last time around, and last I had heard from him there were some things that he changed but that he wanted to correct after the fact. I've sent an email checking in, as I never did hear back. Worst case scenario I'll just do a sheet to sheet data comparison to idenfity any differences since my last update and his. Then I can determine what needs to be reverted or updated to reflect any values that have changed since then. 2. Just for clarification sake, I am not "Ohm" in MWO nor do I have any idea who plays with that account. I do use "Ohm" in the titles of my videos on Youtube, but my in-game name is Ohmwrecker. This applies to pretty much every game I play, and now that there's about to be an item named after me in League of Legends I'm pretty much locked down to this username for life. ;) 3. As mentioned by others, I did not create the Mechlab program that is linked at the end of my post. I only linked it because they lost their sticky thread when the new forums launched. I created the sheets, images, pdfs, etc. in this thread, but not the mechlab program. 4. Last week I had a chat with a contact at IGP, and we discussed my plans to make video content for MWO. There's the possibility that some of my videos may get featured on the MWO Youtube channel, but details are still being discussed. Stay tuned for more info on that. 5. December will be a better month for me time wise, so I should be able to stay on top of updates. With that said, I would still be open to pulling in other community members so we can keep everything updated in a very timely manner, and perhaps even build the sheets out further. Thanks again for all the great feedback, and signs of appreciation / support. I'm really proud of how much this thread has been able to help the community thus far, and I hope that it will continue to be a valuable resource in the months to come.

I've been using the information in your guide to build derivative calculations for my own ones (with credit given, of course), and for build planning.

Would just like to drop a quick thank-you for doing this and keeping it updated.

Is it true that bigger engine also increases your turning speed and torso turning speed and stuff like that? Is there any facts on this if its true, like by how much % ?

I do know that using a larger engine will increase your turning speed, don't know about twist or the forumulas used.

I can vouch for twist speed as well, as there is a very significant difference between a CN9-A and a CN9-D. can't tell you what the numerical values of it are though

Question about the weapons chart: what do you mean by "MAX" DPS?

It appears to me that you are listing the "overall" dps, not the maximum amount of damage that could be inflicted within a one second time period. For instance, the small laser. The small laser has a 'continual dps' of 1... but in the span of one second the small laser has a 'maximum' dps of 3. It cannot sustain that number, true, but for that moment in time the dps SPIKES up to that level, thus the maximum it could ever achieve.

Have you considered using a different metric for your analysis of damage over time? Perhaps three columns, one being maximum amount of damage inflicted in 1 second, another being the rate you have represented on your charts (damage per second over the course of the entire cyclic rate) or possibly another column being maximum amount of damage inflicted within 10 seconds (an homage to the tabletop of course  ).

Hopefully my logic makes some kind of sense and you can draw some insight from it.

That almost sounds logical except that the "maximum dps" of the Small Laser you mention is merely the listed damage of the weapon itself so renaming the current column to "Overall dps" and making a new column for "Maximum dps" would be redundant with damage column that's already there.

Maximum DPS is usually calculated as Damage per Shot divided by Recycle Time (which includes weapon cooldown and beam duration). That's what Ohmwrecker is using here.

Pretty sure it's 0 m, and there's a linear increase in damage between 0-90 m.

Some 4X drivers in game told me dual ac5 in one arm is possible, dual uac is not. So I'm guessing it's 9 critical slots in the arm. Could also be 8, but I don't see a reason for that. The 'phract doesn't have a hand like the Centurion after all.

Left Arms HAS a hand.
Both mechs have upper and lower arm aculators too.

Jagger mechs has neither upper lower or hands. but u wont be able to "arm aim". like a mech with upper and lower.. Think the wang which is missing a lower arm acculator.

Lower = left and right, upper = up and down.

Granted not talking newtonion physics or anything, just table top conversion.

Check plz AC2 and AC5 cd, after patch cd was inсrease up to 50%. Coz this morning i used 4*AC2 and marco for unstoppable fire. Shots at intervals of 0.125 seconds. But after patch i do 4 shots and start w8... about 0.2-0.3 seconds. Same **** with AC5.

Just want to throw another thanks at Ohmwrecker. Never would have made the quality build I run now without this information. I have it bookmarked and constantly refer to it. :)

There's an update coming, I got sidetracked by a notification from Riot that they were finally getting my item in the game. I had to scramble to get a video up on that quickly. Now that that's done I'm back to updating the sheets, should be within 24 hours.
