It's back again! It's been 8 months since I last did this. You can see the previous iteration's detailed results here. Since then we have had buffs to ammo counts, mobility, heat dissipation, and countless other weapon and quirk tweaks. Have a spreadsheet. I think the meta has shifted enough that it's time to run the survey again.

As people submit to the survey, these sheets will automatically populate. If you replied in the first day of the survey, please check back later after there has been time for more people to submit. I got 400 responses last year, let's see if we can top that!

It boggled my mind that some mechs are favored by casuals and pros, but disdained by mid-range players. What is the connection?!? EDIT: spelling.

Very interesting. I'm particularly interested how some mechs seem to be much more highly rated by low match score/casual players. Particularly the ARC, RFL, STK, etc. Sheds some light on why I see so many of those mechs in my lower tier matches.

Edit - it also appears that low match score players generally rate most mechs higher on average than do high match score players (same for casual vs. comp).

Other than the few that are easy to determine to be strong or just plain bad, it's hard to really put a number for the rest when you can make bad mechs look good lol.

Finished. May I suggest adding a "Not sure" or "N/A" category since I don't know for a majority of the mechs we have in MW:O, if they are good or not good. I'd revote if you add a N/A category since I put a 5 for the mechs I wasn't sure on.

You can actually just leave blank.

Unfortunately, once you've already clicked on a rating, you cannot change it back to blank. I also cannot provide both a "NA" as well as a rating range. Just a limitation of Google Forms.

It does say to not vote for ones you're *really* unsure on, not sure if you can unselect a score now though

Some interesting data already but the best have risen to the top and maybe PGI will look at this and give some help to those with low numbers.

How is the Warhammer IIC even on the list it isn't even out to play yet.

Your Boxplot pages are broken as there are lights, mediums and heavies on the assault tab. In fact all the tabs have mixed weight classes, except lights.

Did you not read the "(predicted)" part?

You should be able to ballpark it by looking at its tonnage, slots, geo, and hardpoints.

I genuinely do not understand how the Blackjack is rating so poorly. It has amazing weapon quirks, it has some competent durability quirks, it has majority high mounts, its geo is pretty decent, it moves at a speed comparable to some much higher-scoring 'Mechs (i.e. Huntsman); it carries good weapons payloads, the only major drawback is that it isn't the most agile...but it's not cripplingly sluggish like some other Mediums.

It's also interesting to see that players identifying as IS Loyalists generally rank 'Mechs higher than Clan Loyalists, regardless of what faction the 'Mech belongs to.
