Update: Volkodav and I both fought Burning2nd.

His fundamentals were okay but his builds and tactics needed serious work. He stood still in lights, brought unoptimized builds(streak commando and more), and overall he did show that MWO stats can be a rough indicator of where a player's skill level may lie. Not as a slight to you Burning, just saying what I saw. Communication in a team based game is important. Effectively this is the BT-nerds "pick up flag football" game at the park. Your team still needs to be able to talk to each other to understand who is doing what, what you're going to do, what you're seeing from the enemy team, and so on.

Without speaking, you're going to do more poorly...

That said, when discussing where to go, when to push, etc., it does require you have some modicum of tactical awareness to make the right calls, not simply "let's go here, because every time I drop on this map, I go here no matter how many times it ends up badly" kind of 'pigeon thinking'...

Burning2nd I genuinely don't care about any of this. I fought you become someone on discord was talking about 1v1s coming out of the MWO forums and I wanted to get in on the memes. But after fighting you, I actually want to help you get better and improve your gameplay. You actually have potential, and if you were willing to improve you'd actually become an above average player.

Side note, and these aren't slights against you I genuinely want to understand:
1) You said you stood still in a light on purpose. You did that in a Jenner IIC twice, and both times I punished you heavily with strikes. The time you did it in a spider, I twoshotted you without missing. What was the advantage of standing still?
2) You told me that I'm a nobody because I recently joined 228 and you've seen the unit before me. What the **** does that even mean? I mean, you were trying to be insulting, obviously, but what does that even imply? I've hopped around from units a lot and I've played with a lot of teams. What does this even mean?

It means he was trying to trash talk you to assuage his fragile ego.

I get that you're trying to help, but this dude has 17,000 drops under his belt and has not improved one bit during his career. The likelihood that he'll take you up on your offer is pretty much nil. This dude and Kovfefening should be case studies for Dunning-Kruger. They'll never get better because they've convinced themselves that they're already great pilots.
