Haha well you already know I'd ask for the Raptor if PGI said they were doing omnis but as it stands it doesn't look likely.

Looking at underused weight classes and weight brackets I would guess either an IS 25-tonner or an IS heavy.

Maybe the Ostmann Industries will finally be able to show off their fine creations?

The Ost-series would fall straight to the pile of underused mechs of which you speak.

Clan Heavy I am sure of it. Leaning towards Glass Spider or maybe Crossbow.

No no no, none of those.... NIGHT WOLF!

3085 mech, their current time limit is 3068.

Also if they do go back to clan as the next release it will likely be a light; as they have been going Assault > Light > Heavy > Medium in most of their rotations. However with fans wanting certain mechs they could go and put out the Phoenix Hawk IIC as the IS just got 3 Assaults back to back to back. Charger, Hatamoto-Chi, and Corsair.

They have added mechs outside of the timeline already. Whats one more :)

The current limit is weaponry/equipment rather than the mech's actual introduction date. Specifically, the equipment carried on the mech's main/original variant.

The Night Wolf's primary (and only) variant has a Plasma Cannon, thus making it not viable for MWO. PGI can and does make up secondary variants all the time, but they NEVER make up primaries other than their own in-house mechs like the Roughneck.

There was a generous dose of sarcasm in "fine creations". I thought everyone would get that, naive as I was.

Ostscout is a fine creation, what are you talking about?

"What's your build?"
"1 medium laser, let me send you the build code"

A weapon to surpass Metal Gear.

Except the Roughneck is not outside the timeline.

Apocryphal and being outside the timeline are not the same thing.

People are still griping about the PGI-original 'Mechs? Didn't that ship sail ages ago? Besides, the Roughneck is cool as hell. Get over it already, willya?

It most definitely is more a matter of (your) opinion. You're trying to argue that a mech that doesn't even exist in the official timeline (a.k.a. the canon timeline) is somehow not outside of said timeline.

Who is griping and who is falling into the pitfalls of fallacies here? ;)

Whatever ship you think has sailed here with regards to the question of whether or not PGI having created a mech that doesn't exist within the canon timeline and thus can legitimately be viewed and referenced as being a mech outside of said canon timeline.

I don't seem to recall anyone disputing that in here.

You might want to hold off of such advice because you quite obviously are giving it to at least one person who has nothing to get over in the first place.
