Hmm...

Well, I'm glad to hear another Mech became available to all for (C-Bills)... :)

But, I'm as equally sorry to see our friendly Matt Newman has been overworked again, seeing as there's no matching image of the Mechs in proper colors linked to this update... :(

http://mechspecs.com...s/hellfire.671/

it's a bit on the light side. Doesn't seem to be that popular of a mech. The 60-ton-Mech-disease, i guess.

I'll probably get the Bloodlust sometime, just to make a build similar to my Assassins and see how it performs. Not sure about one of the other Vulcans.

I've got quite a few I like. I can't rememvber which are just endo and which are ferro/endo, but:

Void- dual UAC10, 4xheavy med, SRM6. Had to dock the engine slightly but made up in mobility skills.
HLF-1- triple heavy med, quad heavy small, ATM12, ATM9, ATM6. Max engine.

Next I plan to do a HLF-A, quad SRM6, UAC20, quad ER MED. Max engine, ferro/endo.

There is very little the hellfire does well, save being a very easy kill. You can run quad ATM-9s ok. 4 heavy large lasers (2+2) can work it just blows on a lot of maps due to the HLF having gorilla arms on a short squat mech.

think it's more "there are very few people who can pilot a hellfire well" rather than the mech itself sucking. I'd honestly see people who can pilot a Nova decently doing quite well in it.

key really with picking up a new mech is how similar it's set up to a mech you've previously piloted. for instance, I've logged a lot of hours in the Centurion, so it was pretty easy to adapt to piloting an Enforcer and Victor and perform decently as their hardpoints, hitboxes and handling are very similar.

Try the A-variant as a brawler with: XL280 engine, 4x srm6, lb10x, 4x small pulses, 5x DHS, 5t srm ammo and 3t lbx ammo. FF and ES needed.

How are the hitboxes on this mech? The side torsos look huge, but when fighting against them they don't seem particularly vulnerable (unlike the sun spider's).

The VT-5S with MASC is a fun mech, and the VT-6M has a general -15% cool down quirk.
