More often then not, the top mounted weapon is depicted as centered irregardless of right or left torso for the crit slots for all Marauders. So in essence all Marauders are a historical artwork oddity that was traditionally allowed this crit slot "deception".

But you can Check the MAD2 pre-order page. If it says "pre-ordered", you're clear.

Stone Rhino (Behemoth)
Two Gauss Rifles, 1 barrel.
Though the barrel is on top, the things powering/feeding it in were in the side torsos.
There's actually at least a half dozen examples.
Pelvis guns, for example, could be "mounted" as center torso, side torso or leg and still appear on the pelvis. It was less about the location of the gun, and more of where the mechanics of the gun mostly rested.
Side note: You may enjoy the link on my signature. As well as another thread that it references.

Unlike the Marauder, as soon as the Stone Rhino got new art they gave it non-centered barrels, so I wouldn't really hold up the Stone Rhino as a good example:
And to be fair, as cool as the old art looked it was a silly notion. Especially considering the Destroid it was cribbed from was known for having quad dorsal barrels all over the place.

The quad barrels was specific to two anime appearances, the single barrel was specific to another anime appearance.
The updated art has taken it away from the single barrel due to the HG ******** that was running for a bit, and to make it more "true to paper" as opposed to the 1980s style of creation, which often used the rules to create unique weapon variants. While I can't pull examples off the top of my head as I haven't had this discussion for about 5 years...
But I know after having found them I started doing it on my own, and getting pretty deep into the canonical weapon variations, enough to know of the 60+ named variants of regular medium laser, 41 of them have enough difference in how they are described to fire, to appear, and deliver damage that I consider them to have unique descriptions.
Sadly, like a certain element of Dungeons and Dragons where the rules basically get so strict they kill any role playing concepts such as Class X pretending to be Class Y to go along with a party with the intention of stealing their stuff later, the updated artwork tends to be more based on the stats than on the descriptions. (Thinking it was more Lindybeige than Puffin Forest... )
An example might be if a new Atlas artwork for "classic Battletech's" 2750-3050 era put a 20 tube LRM-20 on the left torso... when the artwork usually shows 2 rows of 10 tubes [on either side of the CT] for the only two Atlas 7 variants to actually have a 20 tube launcher, where any other AS7 Atlas has a 5 tube rapid reloading hip launcher for its LRM-20.
Or since there's no "stat" for the coolant hookup, the whole fluff of hooking up to a coolant truck as a portable heatsink to enable the mech to -- in a matter of a speaking -- become a defensive gun emplacement, would be completely lost as it would also be cut from the "new" art, when taking that approach.
Basically any flare or detail about the mech would then be lost by the new art replacing the original. As such, I prefer the Stone Rhino's single barrel rapid fire with two charging systems, as it makes it unique. Its specific Gauss Rifle might be 30 tons, but there's nothing else like it, able to fire twice as fast, pivot on a dorsal mount and has a redundancy in case if half the system is damaged beyond being able to function. The fluff of the old TRO says as much, and thus I prefer it... as with the new art, a rewrite would likely follow, and the detail would be flat-out lost.
