Hi,
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
ECM only provides invincibility up to 1/4 of enemy normal detection range such as 180m.
Stealth on contrary will provide invincibility without minimum range.
Is that correct?
What is your favorite stealth light mech?

Ecm reduces enemy detection range by 25% meaning they will have to get into 750m to detect someone as opposed to 1000m if they didnt have ecm.
Stealth will provide invisibility to detection without minimum range at the cost of having heat buildup and cooldown between activating/deactivating.

Basic ECM reduction for the equipment alone is 30% and there are two skill nodes in the sensor tree that can each add 22.5% to that, for a total reduction up of either 52.5% or 75%. That is applied against the total sensor range of the mech trying to detect the guy with ECM. The basic radar range for all mechs is 800 meters but certain mechs have fixed sensor range quirks (the cyclops in particular are +150m to themselves and +100m to friendlly mechs near them), probes extend the sensor range (BAP/AP add 25%, LAP adds 15%), and there are five skill nodes in the sensor tree which can add 7% each. A command console adds 6% and different targeting computers add a different amount for each level and tech base of computer.
Thus... 75% off 800 meters = 200 meters radar range to detect an ECM mech... but a cyclops it would be 237.5 meters. A myst lynx with its active probe would be 250 meters. A lynx with all five nodes would be 320 meters to detect an ECM mech. A cyclops with a CC, BAP & all five nodes 394 meters out of a total sensor range of 1,577 meters.
But that same CC/BAP/5 Nodes cyclops example against a mech that hadn't taken the ECM skill nodes, would have a detection range of 1,103 meters. The lynx without the skill nodes would be 700 meters and the lynx with the nodes would be 896 meters.
