So just a thought but who would be interested in a for fun hosted 1v1 and 4v4 tournament with nothing but Urbies?

There would be a limit on loadout/modification spending to keep the playing field level and all matches would take place on an urban/city map like Solaris City, River City, Crimson Strait etc.

Its still just an idea rattling around in my head so I don't have much in the way of details because I don't want to put much thought into it if people aren't interested but hey, who wouldn't want to be known as the baddest urbie pilot around?

If I'm online when this sort of thing happens I'll always be up for dropping in for a few matches.

The problem I find is typically one of time.

So I'll start looking at base model urbies and what amount of C-bill cost for upgrades would make for fun matches. I'm thinking a Saturday afternoon would probably work for this. I'm open to suggestions on both modification limits and when to hold the tournament.

I have 3 urbies and I'm willing to spend an unreasonable amount of Cbills to make sure I can bring one to this tournament.

Well looking at things it would be hard to figure out spending limits or even how to enforce them. So lets just go with whatever crazy *** builds people can fit into an Urbie.

So far what I'm thinking is:

One to Rule them All:
1v1, single elimination tournament to determine the one Urbie pilot that can save us all when the end times come and we're invaded by those bird alien things.

Four Cans are better than Two:
4v4 team single elimination tournament to determine the best foursome Urbies can have.
.. that came out wrong.

I dunno about prizes or anything since I'm freaking broke and work for a living. I mean bragging rights are a thing right?

The problem is that there's no way to do a free for all or a grand melee as you can't target your team members so that would make any streaks or missiles a problem to use.
