Point taken! I have known Queenblade for quite some time we have hung out at many events starting way back in the Launch event in San Fran. I have a long history with clowning with the 228th which he plays for and they like to call me an honorary member. I like the idea. Dont like the cost. Right thing to do is give all founders the Atlas eyes for FREE.
My idea wouldnt be lights or anything you turn on but being able to color the entire cockpit different colors mostly metallic colors would be nice. Majority of us black out our cockpit glass with random decals. Be nice if I could just buy a "bolt on" that allows me to change the entire color. But still keep the relflective quality of it IE metallic.
Also not going to get better then the executioner eyes and blades on the kodiak so in my mind they already won.

You know, the Laser lenses should also have these glow, with color based on laser type.

Red for SLs
Green for iML
Yellow for CML
Blue for LLs.

Only one idea per topic? Ok, I'll make multiple posts.

Idea 1) The same way that Warhorns go off when you make a kill, make the glow kill-dependent. One option would be to have the eyes glow a little bit all the time, and then when a kill happens the eyes glow very brightly for a few seconds. Another option would be to have the eyes look standard all the time, and then when a kill occurs, they glow for a few seconds.

Idea #2 ) Glowing faction "decals". For example, a glowing blue Lyran Commonwealth fist, or a glowing orange Clan Wolf wolf head. You could have a different bolt-on for different locations, so a glowing blue fist for the right shoulder, and another one for the left shoulder. In this idea, you wouldn't be able to change the colors.

If I knew how to do cool effects with photoshop, I'd model this up, but alas, I have no idea how to do that.

Also, some of the mechs with more circular joints/actuators could look really cool with some glow there.


I don't know if this or the laser heatsinks would need to be split into distinct bolt-ons for each location, but if the price was reduced to reflect needing to buy multiple then I'd be fine using that many bolt-on slots for this.

Can't wait to buy the Cyclops bolt-on when the update drops, it'll go perfect with my camo.
