'Mech Quirk changes
TNS-4P:

  • UAC / 20 HSL +1 quirk added.

Kit Fox:
Universal Range +5% Quirk added to the following torso OmniPods:

  • KFX-C Right Torso
  • KFX-D Left Torso
  • KFX-D Right Torso
  • KFX-Prime Left Torso
  • KFX-Prime Right Torso
Design notes: We want to provide the lesser used OmniPods with some more potent options at customizing your OmniMechs. As well as play into the high accuracy at long ranges niche the 'Mech is known for in the lore when combined with a number of set of 8 quirks.

HGN-IIC-A
  • Clan ER PPC HSL +1
SNV-BR
  • UAC/20 HSL +1 quirk added

  • Bolt-On and Weapon Door shadows have been removed due to these shadows not animating along with the 'Mech.
  • The Solaris Watch List is now the top element in the Solaris Overview panel and it is set to open by default.
  • Fixed an art issue where the Summoner 'Mech's hip geometry were asymmetrical.
  • Fixed an art issue where the Kintaro 'Mech's start-up animation was too quick, causing issues in the end of the animation.
  • Scouting mode's Intel Collected displayed on the in-game HUD no longer resets to 0 when a player quits and re-joins the match.
  • 'Mechs no longer get stuck between a building and rail tracks in cell D4 of Solaris City.
  • 'Mechs no longer get stuck between a building and an elevated platform in cell D7 of Solaris City.
  • Added the proper missing quirk changes to the Bushwacker BSW-HR 'Mech.

Patch Files (Direct Download)

To make the patching process easier for players with limited download caps, we'll be providing direct download links for the patch file(s) that comprise this patch. This will allow you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, for manual injection into the MWO patcher through a Patch Cache folder.
Aside from allowing you to download the patch file(s) elsewhere, on another connection, there are no additional benefits to performing the patch this way; the patching process itself will be the same.
This direct patch download process will only work for players running the standalone client. It does not apply to players running MWO through Steam.

Patch File(s):

How to use these patch files
• Download the above file(s)
• For sake of ease we recommend creating a dedicated folder for the patch file(s), such as 'MWO Patch Cache'
• You do not need to unzip or unpack the patch file(s)
• Launch the MWO Portal
• Select the three horizontal lines in the top left of the Portal Window
• Choose the 'Specify Patch File Cache' option
• In the field that appears, paste or enter the location in which you saved the patch file(s) and hit OK
• For example, C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MWO Patch Cache
• Click the blue Patch button
• The launcher will now check the Patch Cache folder you defined. If it locates the required patch files, it will unpack and use those files to apply the patch.
• Once the patch is complete, launch the game

Suddenly I wish I had the Super Nova hero.

With Warhammer IIC coming out, does that me the 27th Whammer IIC's 'other' hero is gonna be out too?
(Man, it's tiny...for an MWO, sorta emphasizing how oversized the Cataphract, some 70 tonners, and the Awesome still are...) (The answer to my question is yes; it's at the bottom of the other page linked in the OP).

"Bolt-On and Weapon Door shadows have been removed due to these shadows not animating along with the 'Mech."
Someone kept begging for the fix... Now it's been fixed; no more shadow to indicate that the doors are open, just the barely visible light that gives almost no color distinction in certain maps due to the color filters... Now if those indicators could be fixed -- in the form of a "OPEN/CLOSE" or larger indicator rather than a glowy fake flare.

(Also: I recently "resaw" the old post about how our great monitor system finally got placeholders and how in the upcoming months they'd be working on real functionality....from 3 years ago. Any news on that?)
(I know I sound bleh. There are good things here, some long awaited and others showing that the art team is hard at work and its appreciated. We've even seen a hip fix, so I'm sure we may see some other tweaks in the near future as well. But sometimes little reminders help to find out if things are still on a backburner or if they're completely forgotten.
The old heatsink monitor
Posted Image
that PGI removed would be absolutely crucial to helping players understand why they suddenly shut down in losing a side torso even with a standard engine, due to losing the 6 to 10 heatsinks they shoved into that side and the arm accompanying it so we'd stop hearing all these damn salty tears about how the game is bugged.... or how the LFE/Clan XL is too punishing [when its actually that + losing the heatsinks they boated in the side they lost that really screws them over].)
Also missed is the old ammo monitor, which made it clear what body parts were expendable and which needed to be protected for ammo-dependent units.

Where is the guy, who always posted the gifs with the not working shadows?

There you have your fix. They simply removed it.

As my grandmother always said: "If you can't fix it. Delete it."

Maybe they will "fix" Solaris 7 one day. Who knows.

I kinda liked the chonky boi WHM-IIC from the concept art. Don't get me wrong, the actual model is slick and beautiful but I'd have been fine with it being chunky too (just... maybe not Awesome chunky)
Also... those UAC20 HSL quirk additions had me rubbing my hands together, especially on the Boiler. Still hanging out for AC20 ones for the King Crabs

Copied from the October Patch Notes:

Heat Containment Skill Tree Skills
Through our investigations into these heat system changes, we have uncovered that there is a bug in the way that heat containment skills are distributing their benefits. As they currently operate, they are unevenly distributing their benefits towards external heat sinks over internal heat sinks. With us constricting external heatsink heat capacity values, these skill tree nodes will feel less impactful in the incoming heat system overhaul compared to what they are now, or through the PTS series. Although they will still provide some benefit over not taking them at all.
We will be looking to address this behavior and ensure that it's benefits will be more evenly distributed towards all 'Mechs in a future patch.

Did I missed it? Or did they never fixed these issues with heat-skill Nodes and the overhaul of the heat-balance?

Standard versions of last year's Loyalty Variants have been added to the web store:

Surely to Game Store? C-bills?

And why is red banner running entire weekend? 24 hours should be enough warning about incoming patch in-game. There are events still going on that red banner hides, you know...

So there is a note in the bug fixes on the Bushwacker hero receiving quirk changes; what are they being changed to?

I really like how they deleted the shadows of bolt-ons and weapon doors instead of actually fixing them. Really classy, PGI.

Forgetting to buy the Boiler during the last 50% off sale suddenly feels a lot worse. I love me some UAC/20s.

Oversized? The Jenner is the size of the Empire state building.
