My team last match:
9x Warhammer IICs
2x Fleas
1x Centurion

I've also been in two matches this afternoon with 8 Warhammers each.

Going low quirk was the right choice on the mech. It doesn't feel like it has only 13 accel - for some reason, it feels more agile than a Timber Wolf. Don't know why. Hitboxes seem decent.

I am running 2 LPL, 3 ERMed, 1 AMS, 1 ATM12, max JJs, XL325, and as many DHS as I can stuff into the chassis. It's hot but seems to perform well.

Well since it's fighting other Warhammer IICs that are probably being skilled out. It's probably not a good gauge of how well it stacks up to the competition. Once the queue normalizes though..

So far I'm having fun right now, even with my generic laser vomit with 20dhs with a xl 360. Maybe just having matches with a bunch of assaults going wild on each other changes up the environment in qp atm.

I gave mine 2 ER PPC's and 2 Large Pulse with a 360 XL and a ton of heat sinks and it would have performed great. Excepting that I dropped into a Solaris City map and every time I fired my weapons, the arm energy guns kept hitting walls and columns because the hardpoints are so fookin' wide.

Edit - I was too harsh with my ending thoughts. For a new player that got the Bludgeon for free that's doing the Free to Play thing, It's going to be very fun for them. As for myself, the Marauder IIC chassis remains far and away the superior choice over this.

Well, except for having space for tons of heatsinks, the hero variant does seem to be pretty underwhelming/boring.

I wish our Balancing Overlord™ was benevolent enough to at least give this variant better agility than the rest given that it has fewer weapon hardpoints (although really I'd like all of them to not be whales).

I think I'm going for speed and maneuverability over massed firepower. After some tinkering in the Mech Lab, I've settled upon a 375XL, 4x Jump Jets, 1x ATM 12, 5x Medium Pulse Laser, augmented with a Targeting Computer 1, Active Probe and AMS. Nearly max armour and every spare heat sink I could shoehorn into it should allow for a quick pace. Hoping to try it out in live play soon.

The issue is that the mech's whale-like agility will greatly hamper its ability to have a "cavalry" role (speed/maneuverability) but it also lacks the ballistic hardpoints needed for raw firepower like the MCII.

I haven't tried out my free hero yet other than a quick testing grounds drop (oh god the agility, it hurts) but on paper it seems to get the worst of both worlds between big assaults and small assaults.

MechWarhammer Online, confirmed ;)

but it's good to see a fresh mech in such numbers and not being dumped right away onto the DOA pile.
still looking for "my" build though. brawly on the 'A' is fun, but neither of use in QP or FW atm. hm...

Oh no! A mech that not only just released but also everyone had a chance to get for free is flooding the qp?!
What in the world is going on? I mean wow...

I can't say I am impressed at all with the Warhammer IIC. It just feels too stiff and unresponsive even when you put a mega engine on it. I mean I can't say it is performing badly overall but it just doesn't feel very fun to play. Also someone said it earlier, there isn't anything I can do on a Warhammer IIC that I can't do on a Marauder IIC and do it better in every way imaginable.

Verdict = Not DOA but Just MEH.

It looks pretty good imo asthetically, but sofar in game performance has been nothing but mediocre. You are looking at something with so-so hardpoints (not terrible but by no means all that great either especially the ultra wide arms), and pathetic agility which would have been ok if it had some super meta 2 uac5+2uac10 builds available, but the best builds on the mech are just about workable, nothing remarkable or fantastic or even meta grade.

The best setup ive been able to fit on the hero is 2LPL+3ERML and a ATM-12, since it has but 5 energy, needs some range (hitboxes are nothing to brag about up close), and i couldnt think of anything else for a single missile hardpoint so i fit the largest alfa damage weapon i could into 1 slot. Its pretty much inferior firepower to a hellbringer (running 1 LPL and 6 ERML, less DHS and less alfa discounting the super iffy ATMs), so yeah, mediocre for a 80t clam mech.

Couldve been a great opportunity, but there is just nothing about it truly worth bringing to a game dominated by ~10 mech chassises as of this point in time.

I did a bit of testing and just like many of us predicted, the issues is definitely its agility profile. I went a full 40 points in the mobility tree and the mech really comes alive and actually becomes fun to play. I can twist shield effective, engage targets efficiently and actually manuever without getting hung up on everything. It is just pretty flipping sad that I have to invest 40 fricken points just to get the mech fun and comfortable to play. Hopefully PGI will get a clue and give the Warhammer IIC a much needed agility buff ASAP, like hotfix ASAP.

Sadly Clans don't have anything descent to fill that one missile point... One Atm, even 12, won't do any good to it unfortunately.. And 5 energy hardpoints in clan mech is definately not good enough in an 80 ton mech..

In fact the free hero vàriant is just a bit underpowered about the main build for whm-IIC. (4erppc) cause of hardpoints location.

So no it do not need a flavor from devs.
