9x Warhammer IICs
2x Fleas
1x Centurion
I've also been in two matches this afternoon with 8 Warhammers each.
Going low quirk was the right choice on the mech. It doesn't feel like it has only 13 accel - for some reason, it feels more agile than a Timber Wolf. Don't know why. Hitboxes seem decent.
I am running 2 LPL, 3 ERMed, 1 AMS, 1 ATM12, max JJs, XL325, and as many DHS as I can stuff into the chassis. It's hot but seems to perform well.

Edit - I was too harsh with my ending thoughts. For a new player that got the Bludgeon for free that's doing the Free to Play thing, It's going to be very fun for them. As for myself, the Marauder IIC chassis remains far and away the superior choice over this.

I wish our Balancing Overlord was benevolent enough to at least give this variant better agility than the rest given that it has fewer weapon hardpoints (although really I'd like all of them to not be whales).

The issue is that the mech's whale-like agility will greatly hamper its ability to have a "cavalry" role (speed/maneuverability) but it also lacks the ballistic hardpoints needed for raw firepower like the MCII.
I haven't tried out my free hero yet other than a quick testing grounds drop (oh god the agility, it hurts) but on paper it seems to get the worst of both worlds between big assaults and small assaults.

but it's good to see a fresh mech in such numbers and not being dumped right away onto the DOA pile.
still looking for "my" build though. brawly on the 'A' is fun, but neither of use in QP or FW atm. hm...

The best setup ive been able to fit on the hero is 2LPL+3ERML and a ATM-12, since it has but 5 energy, needs some range (hitboxes are nothing to brag about up close), and i couldnt think of anything else for a single missile hardpoint so i fit the largest alfa damage weapon i could into 1 slot. Its pretty much inferior firepower to a hellbringer (running 1 LPL and 6 ERML, less DHS and less alfa discounting the super iffy ATMs), so yeah, mediocre for a 80t clam mech.
Couldve been a great opportunity, but there is just nothing about it truly worth bringing to a game dominated by ~10 mech chassises as of this point in time.

In fact the free hero vàriant is just a bit underpowered about the main build for whm-IIC. (4erppc) cause of hardpoints location.
So no it do not need a flavor from devs.
