Lag
its a big story
depends where your bottle neck is
Software
Hardware
Network
CPU definitely has an effect (Dual Core E8500 when I started)
Overclocking to 4.5GHz plus helps if on Intel multi core, cant say for AMD
Also certain Display/Monitor in conjunction with good cpu and gpu can reduce input lag
But the biggest effect is network, sheet network , NBN to building when neighbors watching net flicks can rek u good
Dat iz bad
Network Jitter big cause for lost damage, warping, disconnects etc
Also running a ka Zillion programs certainly has an effect, even if in the back ground
All about the bottle neck

Make sure you are running in Full Windowed mode. Full Screen mode doesn't play well and especially has crashes or freezes for many players during alt-tabbing.
2nd, check your computer resource usage. Try shutting down anything that is not needed.
3rd, what is your ping? Press F9 to display in game. This also shows FPS.

While giving us your specs Alt R, Dxdiag save file, post the first section of the dxdiag, do the following:
Control Panel, Power Options, set to High Performance.

I strongly suspect someone got duped in the "geared for gaming" aspect.

are you talking about lag or low FPS?
the frame rate is shite in this game, so unless you're running some i9-9900K, dual 2080Ti set up, you better turn off some of the bells and whistles in Video settings.
if you're getting LAG, get a better ISP, or maybe try a VPN that gives you better routing to the game servers. or move to Canada. otherwise, nothing much you can do about it

(To help with "LAG", turn off the foreign servers so you only use the local ones).
To help with frame rate.. if you're not running at least 16 gigabytes of RAM and a dedicated video card, the thing you got isn't gaming oriented. Side note if you got an all in one computer (where its all in the monitor), then you got screwed.

OP, by gaming computer do you mean 4K
if so
Change your resolution to something lower like 1920 x 1080

No follow up posts since the OP second post and still baby blue name. The OP has played 87 games, simply has not logged onto the forums since the 22nd for the forums to sync up with the drops played.
