I am looking forward to seeing the old Classic forest maps. Thank you.

I would like to comment about the LRM's. Could we apply the direct line of sight toggle to LRM's with artemis only. The reasons for this is simple.
Leaving regular LRMs alone with the LOS to Artemis LRMs to distinguish better between the two missile systems.
We already have SRMs, and MRM, and we have yet to get Streak LRM's which are line of sight.
Artemis is really stinky these days, with increased cost and weight, and practically nothing to show for it. I know you think that it will help LRMs to deal with overhanging obstacles, but that is part of the challenge of the game, matching tactics and Mechs to deal with each map. Please don't take that away from us.

I have to say, this LRM request is just like something a person that is happy about a 4vs4 map being reintroduced for 12vs12 play would do..

LOS lower arc is good for LRMs, because with this, you can hit people under the central platform in HPG, or in the tunnel on Crimson, or in most places on Solaris..

And having Artemis as mandatory for anything should never be pushed down a Lurmer's throat..

Man can't wait to feel claustrophobic on that map agian, seriously some of the old maps are way to small for 12v12 if it 8v8 for those classic maps I wouldn't care. And make me look forward for Grim in qp 24/7.

Not looking forward to these with 12v12. Got too many people shooting me in the back and blocking my shots already. Just going to get worse on smaller maps.

Can't wait to see the oldies again <3 Mostly because I fkin hate how 2 minutes of a match are walking and the other 3 are actually playing. That is not counting 2-3 minutes of waiting for a match.

Can we get 8v8 back as well? It would mean faaaar less firepower on the field as well, slightly reducing ttk, increasing the value of armor and supression, as well as mobility.

This is more of a dialogue on lrms than it is about you being happy about that dumb forest map returning, you know that right?
I dare say you people with the wool over your eyes and lovely Stockholm’s syndrome in full revelry, have no idea what kind of mess is in store.
By doing this, it allows PGI to half-arse the only half-arse thing (that is in fact a quarter-arse) that makes sense at this moment in the game; re-skinning/texturing maps - Now, imagine my ever running disappointment meter when I found out they are basically doing one ******* map - forest colony winter std/classic.
Out of the oodles of potential this has to re-engage their player base, esp the ones that after years of playing have grown tired of the same godamn rotation of Maps all the time, this represents the best half arsed approach. But not with one avg map reskin. Uggghhh
That is of course VS MAKING A NEW MAP ERMERGERD.

AM DISAPPOINTI PGI, AM DISAPPOINT
Bonus
Super easy Reskin ideas - crystal city(Solaris) warzone ice (crimson straits), Metal mine w/green sky (canyon) alpine summer (derr)
River canyon at dawn (terra therma)

8v8 would be interesting for certain modes, or god forbid a new mode.

I haven't played MWO or posted here for a while. Mainly school reasons. But I still look through this forum occasionally. I looked though the roadmap; the usual small things but old maps added back? Yes, please. Especially Old Frozen City, the closet thing we've had to a true brawl map. Solaris City isn't bad, but that big open area in the middle of the map works against it. My playstyle favors short-range and New Frozen City didn't help with that. Old Frozen City forces a brawl almost every time, literally doesn't have the sightlines or size for a mid/long-range tradefest like New Frozen City does. SplatCrow and Brawl Scorch for life.

As for Old Forest Colony, I don't have much experience with that. I didn't get to play that map very much back in open beta. I do remember playing on it a few times, but it was few and far between. Forest Colony Snow even less so, even though it's not actually very different. I'd like it back just to play on it.

Looking forward to all the old maps that will be making an appearance again, if for nothing else just to break up the monotony. Now if they would also remove map voting, maybe we will be able to play on these maps more than once every 15-20 times they show up in the rotation.

As to the LRMs, I am not a fan of the changes. We already have MRMs, ATMs and Streaks for the more direct fire options, we really don't need LRMs trespassing on the roles of these weapons as well. Also this is going to make it merry hell for players using LRMs in the 2nd line just behind the main push. I already often find my LRMs going into the backs of my teammates even with the high arcs, once the changes go in place, it is going to be next to impossible and I am going to have to try to thread the needle between my teammates to even engage with LRMs. For my part, no thank you.

Speaking if Toggles, if anything how about a toggle that switches the LRMs back to the original mode, even for direct fire, you know for those times I want to shoot OVER my teammates heads, instead of into the backs.

Caves and tunnels always result in fun or bordom if one team turtles in it. Still better than the neskar.

Don't miss that part at all. Basically boiled down to which team had the most amount of idiots. Old Forest is a terribly bad map for 12v12.

Hope PGI at least fixed the terrible haze in that map. Made everything look colorless and bland. Forest Colony Snow was much better to look at as the result.

I much prefer the old frozen city map to the giant pile of walking that replaced it.

Size of map makes no difference when everyone congregates to the same point on the map.
