I was wondering if PGI can implement things like KDD/Suicide counts in the score boards.
I know for sure that a suicide in QP doesn't count as dead in fact some tend to exploit it,
And get ridiculous amount of K/D.

What do you guys think?Posted Image

Are you sure Suicide doesn’t affect KDR? That seems counter intuitive, and like it would be easily gamed, but I’ve never checked.

I have seen players run off the map boarder to "preserve" their K/D.

they should just let you eject in Qp

count it as a sucide, Or Disconnect BUT not penalize you.. Problem is stats dont account for disconnects, having to leave the cockpit cause your kid pissed on the floor Or your wife is yelling at you

yes they wanted to stop people from just quiting the round, AND then penalized them for doing so.. BUT it never really worked how it was suppose to

you should be able to eject at any time and get back to the mechbay to be able to launch another round

You think you know for sure or you have some facts/tests to back up that claim?

That's a vid about a Pirate's Bane hiding from the enemy and letting the domination timer run out. How's that supposed to back up your claim?

All a suicide does is not count for a kill for an enemy.

It's not about proof , It's about adding more information to the scoreboard.
You could just implement 4 new elements in the scoreboard.
KDD
Team kills
Suicides
Kill assists

Therefor you got a more clear picture of the player's overall skill (also helps a lot with Unit recruiting new members).

I'd agree with KMDD and maybe kill assists as tracked stats, but negative stats like TKs and Suicides are just fuel for arguments.

TKs happen occasionally, even to the best players, and it shouldn't be a source of stat shaming. Similarly, Suicides (which I'm reasonably sure are tracked in normal KDR ratios) are something that happen, and some players, even playing legitimately, have it happen more than others. I almost never overheat myself, but I know people who run hot builds and end up brawling on a hot map can kill themselves very quickly when they alpha at the wrong time, or they mistime the spacing of shots and get ghost heat. As long as it's not suiciding because "I hate this map/mode/you", or a pattern of deliberate TKs, I don't care.

Doesn't meant much really specially now that PGI did this sidetorso destruction heat thingy (you got less than 100% heat and enemy pops your LFE/cXL sidetorso and your mech blows up as suicide) and I think it does count for death in scoreboards

The most important improvement to the score board is to remove all group queue data from it. If you really want you can design a UNITS score board for group queue, but mixing team queue and solo queue in a single scoreboard is an obvious blunder the removes from it of any actual meaning.

If it makes you feel better, running out of bounds knocks about 20 points off your matchscore. That's on top of the score you would have gained from going down fighting. That's easily 40+ points even if you don't get a single extra kill.

Anyone with weapons who runs off and hides, or runs out of bounds is just screwing himself out of more points, more cbills, and more XP.

I normally don't say anything because frankly I find it hilarious that these people think they are padding their stats, but really they are just ruining them.

Suiciding in the face of overwhelming odds and dumping out as much damage as possible before you eat **** is its own reward.
