With the release of the Warhammer IIC, I expect to see a lot more 'mechs from the Unseen, Classic (TRO 3025) & IIC categories

Which (if any) are you looking forward to?

Poll here

Use Myke Pantera's excellent Mechlist to look at possible variants

Sorry, no quads Posted Image

I'm not too bothered about the Classics, maybe the Clint?

Plenty from the Unseen though, Black Python being top of my list

For IICs, the Locust IIC is probably my favourite

[Edit] Marauder II removed [/Edit]
[Edit2] Rifleman IIC removed [/Edit]
[Edit3] Dervish removed [/Edit3]

I'm sure Rifleman-IIC will be a popular mech, as long as the huge radio dish is tapered down. PHawk-IIC is gonna be a good ballistic boat too.

As for Unseen, gimme my Longbow!

Then it wouldn't be a Rifleman IIC, would it?

Phoenix Hawk's back pack was tapered down. Blood Asp's ST racks were tapered down. They are still recognizable.

Gotta release the Jazz Hand Mechs. No mech can match their amazing posing and jazz hand technique pass through the generations!

I'm all for the PhoenixIIC. I remember 'back in the day' there being a pic of it in the Tukayyid book; that thing looked so menacing and scary - love it.

that being said: thx to that gif, I totally want the RifleIIC now, too. and a poncho + sombrero bolt on Posted Image

You activated my inner nerd, and now I want to see a bunch of sentient man sized battletech mechs partying with the crew of the enterprise now.

Someone suggested on my thread that perhaps PGI could make the radar dish a destructible hitbox that is separate from the head so it doesn't become a LRM sponge. I personally like the over sized radar dish as in this concept art:

I can live with a reseen type radar dish as long as it's distinguishable to the RFL-IIC. Nothing hideously small I hope.

I would like see them do a dual pack like the Charger and Hatamoto Chi for the Unseens.

For example Birds of Prey pack
Phoenix Hawk IIC with Shadowhawk IIC or Griffin IIC.

WTB:
- Black Python, it's sexy and powerful
- Nexus, cool design and excellent 25 tonner for the IS
- MW4 Hellhound plz
- Crusader because Deus Vult
- Longbow, but only with a variant based on it's NAIS variant
- Rajin, excellent 50 tonner
- Wasp/Stinger because obviously needed.

Thanks for doing this poll and discussion Jay. Since Gas no longer has interest in updating his poll anymore, we might need some alternative to look at and talk about.

It was impossible for PGI to keep everyone happy on that one.

Well the next clan mech will likely be a heavy, and if they keep with the current trend of unseens the Rifleman IIC would be next. However we likely won't see it till either December or January depending on if they attempt to make a new PGI original.

Rifleman IIC WITH the massive antenna dish, but treat it like a permanent bolt on - IE love taps blast it off but it dosnt count towards the mechs actual parts.

I think a vulnerable hit box from the radar is a natural balance to a mech with complete build freedom and superlative mounts.

Lets try geometry as a balancing tool for once. PGI's only other method is the horrid nerfing of agility on all overperforming mechs.

Naw then it will get quirks to make up for such a massive hit box like next to annhi levels to make it useable.

It best treat the dish as a permanent bolt on.

As long as it is a substantial structure. I want the full sombrero, no downsizing.

The mech has a pretty sad engine cap, that can be a balancing method other than agility. Its expected cap would be 235, giving it a top speed of 58.6 kph. A 65-ton heavy moving at assault mech speeds should be more than plenty to nerf it.

The CLINT always reminded me of a worse Enforcer. And also a word to look at twice just in case.

I'll take a Longbow and a Crusader, please and thank you.
