A player's K/DR may continue to drop after any weapon and or component balance changes. It's PGI's goal to get TTK at the right place. Imo, people probably know the basics. However when your weapons are not dealing out damage the way they use to, blame PGI balance changes for that.

You are playing since 2014 and just hit tier 1?

Every potato can hit tier 1 in a few weeks, that's why matchmaking getting worse and worse.

Some of you should rethink their playstyles.

You omitted some context, btw.

Why not show my whole sheet on the Jarls list?

Feb i sit at W/L of 1.41 and KDR 1.69

Thats AFTER a crappy Jan/Dec that i spent getting back into MWO after almost a year.

As far as 'rethinking' my playstyle, i can pull up mechs with over 100 drop with positive W/L and positive KDR.

And i can pull up the majority of my mechs with few drops and below 1.0 W/L and KDR

My better robots:
SLEIPNIR 65 41 24 1.71 91 38 2.39 31,518 126,395 CICADA CDA-2B 143 73 69 1.06 164 77 2.13 47,957 230,339 THE X-5 251 131 114 1.15 249 140 1.78 91,887 334,259 KIT FOX KFX-PRIME 379 208 167 1.25 245 209 1.17 88,667 360,335 STALKER STK-4N 150 78 70 1.11 127 90 1.41 63,309 171,908
WARHAWK WHK-C 203 107 89 1.20 147 123 1.20 76,855 221,106

Most of my robots look like this: MARAUDER IIC MAD-IIC-A 19 8 11 0.73 4 14 0.29 5,249 17,825

So what should i do for my playstyle?

Well, couple things you should know.

If i feel my team is gonna derp it out at Camp Mechswell, i YOLO to try to get others to follow/get 1 kill/kmmd. These matches are usually stomp losses and if i get a kill i usually contributed to @25% of the kills.

I prefer quicker mechs. But have the balls to Anni/Dire in Solo accepting NASCARS as a possibility. Quadlb10 Slapnir has been good to me. My Light-Fu is rusty.

I look at the mimap every ~3 seconds for positioning. I use the Command Wheel, for whatever that is worth.

Biggest of all, call me Casual, call me Mechdad, but i cannot allocate more time for practice because i manage a commercial gym, am rebuilding the PT Program, am building cross-promotion with local businesses.

If you have a way for me to get a better W/L WITHOUT calling targets/drops in Solo(i boss people around at work , i dont wanna do it for fun), and without more practice time, im all ears.

That is brutally black and white view, there might be this grey area also where people play smartly some decent mechs that are bit more challenging to do well not just that super boring vomit HBR while using friendlies as meat shield or using some utility mixed build and playing it like a moron.

Arguing with tier5 potatoes with 0,3KDR what tactics/weapons/mechs are good, now we can link Jarl's and say STFU noob.

i haven't seen anyone doing this, at least not in the last couple of pages. it seems like you're just very sensitive about the discussion of stats in general.

Well, here's a couple of posts from the first few pages...

As for my stats, they are pretty shite, but I play for fun. I'm not sure whereabouts in the leaderboards that element is taken into account.

I'm pretty sure almost everyone plays for fun (I mean isn't that point of games usually?), just point of view what is fun differs.

Only a small few actually play for $, and the others for screwing over other people's fun.

But that's a different story for another time.

Well, counting down...

1. That was me, specifically referencing OPs stats, which he asked about. That specific post in question was less about the stats, and more about how it only had two seasons, which was confusing, considering the time frame OP was talking about. The issue was resolved by OP.

2. Ok, there's one person kind of being a ****.

3. He's just defending himself.

4. He didn't actually bring up anyone in particular, he just pointed out that Jarl's has freed us from the tyranny of "I'm a great player and you can't prove otherwise" by giving us an easily searchable database.

One person being a **** about stats in a 5 page thread isn't bad by any stretch.

I've been around since the beta era and I'm still tier 3. https://leaderboard....?u=RumpledMunky I'm not entirely bad I just don't play much anymore. Haven't since they started the tier thing.

Its hard to contextualize because the reward metrics for 'performance' arent that great. And everyone floats up to T1 eventually.

Everyone who deals sufficient damage. There actually are players who can't manage that.

Hi!

Let me introduce myself.

I'm the exception to that "rule". Posted Image

I've gone from 1/3rd up T3 slowly climbing towards T2 to below halfway up T4 and rapidly plunging.

If you play strictly solo-QP and you're not that good for whatever reason or combination of reasons, your performance and PSR relies heavily on the average performance of the teams your matched with and against. When The Exodus of vets happened after the Solaris7/BAS patches, matchmaking and average solo-QP team skill/performance tanked. Hard. So did my stats, which admittedly were lackluster at best before, but at least were generally moving upwards albeit slowly.

Suddenly I was facing enemy teams packed with T1/2 players regularly, with teams that were potatoes even by my low standards. The stomps have been epic and have become pretty much the new normal. If I'm on the losing side I die horribly with sub-250 damage and no kills, if I'm on the winning side I usually live but still have a low damage/MS because it's nearly always only 2 or 3 players with nearly all the damage/kills.
