I am amazed how some people are so salty towards Lurm that they allow themselves to be blinded by hatred.

These are 2 moments that I got:
1. A lone laser vomit hunchback left cover and his team and charging me across an open field on Frozen City. Of course soon enough he died miserably by my LRM80 and Large Pulse Laser.

2. Someone from opposing team said "God just died!" when they were attacking me. Oh, so much hatred. So very salty. I like it.

Do you have similar case?

Keep Lurming! Make Lurm great again! :)

backstab a teammate lurmer for not sharing its armor and making him believe someone from behind is poking him ...that was a glorious moment

A Direwolf pilot on enemy team told me he was not afraid of LRMs.
This was when the AWS-8R could get to 47% LRM-15 cooldown reduction.
The lurms chewed through the DWF's side, then his leg, then kinda tore him apart.
It seems my polite "Still not afraid of LRMs?" was the last straw, though - the DWF pilot posted "F*** YOU!!!" in allchat and immediately quit the match.

And then there was this Escort match where the enemy team was unwilling to engage the lone exposed LRM boat and tried to cap one of the beacons. I started raining and never really stopped.

I have a few examples of LRM salt that made me laugh..

1) Was in a LRM70 Supernova on Canyon QP.. Lurmed my little heart out, and did everything right.. Ended up being the last man standing.. well.. barely standing.. Was legged, and barely operational, CT exposed.. Last guy on enemy team was a laservomit light.. something like a cheetah or jenner.. don't really remember.. at almost full health.. I managed to fight him off for a few minutes with backing up my rear torso to the wall and strafing him with my backup lasers and close-in LRM punches.. managed to leg him.. but in the end, he got me.. And then the salt begins.. this guy writing in chat, yelling at me and telling me what a useless stupid lurmer I am.. yada yada yada... The score screen drops.. I did 1200+ damage, with several kills and KMDDs... the main salt shaker - less than 300 damage, and no kills.

2) Glorious moment - Was in a LRM60+4HMG Sun Spider on Tourmaline QP... So I somehow become isolated.. didn't pay attention I guess.. rookie mistake.. but oh well.. I LRM away as usual.. I see this Mad Dog SRM bomber figure out I'm alone.. and promptly head over to rush me.. I LRM his CT open before he's ever in range of his SRMs.. and when he enters that range, I surgically finish him off with a short burst of my HMGs.. he never gets a shot. 2 Seconds later, a message in all chat.. something the likes off "LRM Eurotrash"... I screenshot this, and sent it to support after the match, laughing my *** off..

3) One of the first runs in my LRM80 Highlander.. It was on Polar.. I was Lurming a stubborn Battlemaster for what seamed like ages.. all the while, this Timberwolf (I think it was a timberwolf) is poking me from the left with some lasers.. he's doing minimal damage, and I'm all like "I'll get to you later".. So I kill the Battlemaster, and finally, my attention turns to the Timby... I shoot two alphas, and basically swat him away like a fly. Felt like a Boss.. The LRM salt was high that day :D

C1 Catapult on Polar:

I was winding up some teammates en route to meet the enemy and they decided to open fire on me...

"KILL DENIED", I set my throttle to 100% and charge the enemy posistion across open ground expecting to go out in a suicidal.blaze of glory. I syart droppin lurms on a hunchie and pewin my lasers, override engaged. By the time I reach his posision he's gone, so I keep charging, only now the enemy has started running away. I'm dropping lurms on every sensor contact I can, get a lucky rear kill on a daishi (guessing ammo explosion) and the enemy is nascaring like you'd expect when you get rushed.

Only my team hadn't moved. I chase the remaining 10 straight into my team's firing line. 10 assists later I get called an aggressive lurmer.

The salt is real. Speaking of salt. Once I was using my Stalker. Lrms and er large lasers in the arms.
I'm playing on frozen city. I'd poke my head up fire my lasers and then fire my lrms on the way back down
at my victim all without him being able to shoot me. Eventually they got so sick of it half the team pulled out
of position just to kill me, slitting the team getting themselves killed and costing their team the match.

My funniest moments with lurmers involve guys with LRM80+ and my Flea 17 at 80 meter range... is that what OP is asking about?? Posted Image Posted Image

Contrary to your belief, not everyone who uses LRMs is an idiot, much less uses LRMs exclusively. These days less than half a dozen of my mechs (in a collection of 230) are equpped with any type of LRM.

Two moments spring to mind:

1) Terra Therma. I was in a Catapult with 30 LRM tubes, and I managed to sneak within 200 meters of a target without getting spotted. I was on a raised platform and the target was just out of line of sight on the other side of a short cliff in front of me. But I had a red blip, so I started lobbing LRM volley after LRM volley at a guy who could shoot back. The LRMs barely cleared the cliffs but they did clear it and hit my target. But he couldn't get at me because that would require jumping up the cliff or running around in the open to the ramp behind me, either of which would basically expose him to my entire team. I don't think I killed him, but damn was it fun to just be able to spam LRMs at close range without getting shot back at.

2) The second event happened while I was in a Warhammer. It wasn't even outfitted as an LRM boat; it just had two token LRM-5s that I carried just because I find having a red blip but not being able to shoot it because of line of sight issues to be annoying. But in that one match, I and one enemy were all that was left standing. I was pretty much cored and about to die to light sneeze, not to mention standing in the middle of a four way intersection facing a Locust whose location and state of damage were unknown to me. So I started moving towards more defensible ground when a red blip appeared. I didn't even see the mech visually (I think it showed briefly but disappeared behind terrain and the blip just lingered on my UI); I just turned, locked onto its red bracket, and let fly with 10 LRMs. Bam! Dead Locust and match won.

Every time I kill a light mech with my C1's 4mls I laugh. It's only a lrm boat they think. It's only 4 mls the enemy thinks. 4mls in a mech I've been using since day one of playing the game and underestimated all the time.

Reminds me of the time it was 2 LRM boats vs an entire team ... boy did we wreck those 2 guys.
