You know when you're in the mech select screen and the little card flips over but there is nothing on it.

Well it seems to me that is the perfect space for a small blurb on the mech.

Of course PGI don't have the resources to do it (and would you want them). However, people hear have time and a passion.

So I was wondering if people would like to write up a blurb for each mech variant.

I'd suggest 3 bits of info.

1. Quick history, lore on the mech.
2. What is the variant good at.
3. What is the variant bad at.

Maybe a general overview of the chassis.

remembering of course that this is a very small area to fill.

At the very least I would be interested to see what people have to say on each variant.

PS. please remember I am a lazy person

This shows the C-Bill / XP bonus of the chassis, doesn't it?

Yes and then a blank gray area. Of course there is nothing on a non special mech.

Seems to me an area to be used to describe the mech

Since the dawn of time folks have asked for mech blurbs, more complete planetary descriptions, weapons details, etc. to be placed in game. Community members have volunteered to create this content for PGI; from porting over Sarna info to typing it all up manually. Finally, after all these years, PGI allowed a WIKI to be added to the website that has community provided content. I suspect that is as good as it is going to get. For whatever reason, PGI doesn’t want, or is not able, to add the “fluff” from the rich Battletech universe to their game which they advertise as being “set in the rich Battletech universe.”

Yes I forgot about the wiki.

It's not easy to find and it is not complete or editable by the community. I always understood wikis were to be editable by the community. It is better than nothing but it is still awful.

Everyone and anyone can agree that when we're not bitching about the things PGI does, 1 truth stands above the rest...

Why the hell can't PGI be transparent about these things?
