Strange Lbx

my LBX acting like UAC jam, if I am getting hit by SRM's. I just can not fire my LBX, got plenty of time to look (not glance) and see they are in fact cool down, and what feels like forever cool downed, even the the other LBX has cooled down, but they'll fire, just the first set still acting like they are Jam
I didn't know LBX's can jam, do they Jam ? is it possible, and I just was unaware
might be something I need to test with someone and see if I can recreate it happening

oh and my weapons group was all red, like if I was out of ammo, or no weapons any more

Experienced something similar on Solaris a few days ago with my LBX20 Cicada. Put it down to me and my opponent having about 500 ping between us. Never had it happen before.

They do -- but not in MWO (just a fluff/lore thing and is mech specific, not weapon specific).
It sounds like you're having a ping/connection OR lag issue.
Each time you want to fire, the client "asks for permission" to fire from the server.
The Server says yes.
You fire.
If you are unable to ask the server for permission... you can't fire.
If you create conditions to significantly increase your ping, you can jam the ability to ask permission, causing the "zoom" command to take up to 7 seconds in order to actually permit you to zoom in.

This is a server disagreement (Edit - wrong time index, fixed)
(Watch when the mechs stand back up. For something more subtle with the server authority permission system, watch where I shoot versus where I hit; that's an idea of how much of a delay is caused in this 'permission to result' sort of thing without HSR. Shoot WAY ahead of enemy right arm completely missing, hit enemy left arm and left torso.)
Now this isn't to be confused with desync, as then where you are and where the server says you are become two different things, and you can get all the permissions but...nothing works the way you think it does.
(Video is of a desync / packetloss)
Sadly I don't have a specific video for your issue, but I have personally experienced it (it isn't limited to LBX, any non-MG gun can do it.)
Now, there's also what Nightbird said. If they stopped mid-cooldown and became red; they're crit.
My response is if they are otherwise perfectly fine, still cooling down (but not stopping), etc...but flat out refuse to fire.

Seeing this line: That's a crit.
Basically either your ammo got destroyed or your gun did.

If it looks like this, its critted-and-dead. Cooldown bar might get stuck as a bug, but basically its dead, Jim.

I know MG can crit, but not under a sec, on a fresh mech, @ 100%, though I suppose it is possible, but don't feel like it it happened that way.
I couldn't say if the fire group was like that the whole time, just something I didn't look at right away, it was when I realized, my guns were not firing at all, I looked, all ammo was there, but every thing was red, like no ammo, or blown away torso's , and they still had yellow armor when I decided to just stop moving, can't shoot back why bother.

since this LBX debacle happens more frequent, been keeping a eye on things, I believe it is the "ask for permission",(as you call it)
just had it happen with a laser/LBX build, and the lasers wouldn't fire, not crit (yet) and they were cool down, but just would not fire.
*Sigh* damn, now I know what it feels like to be last one pick for the team, need to find a way for the server to like me more, so I can be picked first
I've had the lasers fail before, but been a while

Beyond those network factors, I've got this in case if the problem's just a lot simpler...
Make sure the mouse battery is charged if you have a wireless mouse? I've also noticed that some mice with multiple buttons won't let them function at the same time. A cheap ONN mouse for example had that issue, so I went and got a larger mouse which let me use all the buttons at once (great for multi-group setups). So now I have a gaming mouse that I hide when I'm not home and an everyday use mouse.
