I played for a couple of hours last night and the heat buildup has reduced and the frame-rates didn't dip (or maybe they did while the matches were loading). I haven't done the dusting yet. I need to either buy that cannister or take it to a local service shop and have it done there. But so far, there has been some good progress. So, cheers.

A local walmart should have the perfect dusting can, usually over in the auto section.

I run it on a GL63 and i get 60-90 FPS on every map even while running for 4 hours in a row. Just have to undervolt the GPU and its stable even with maxed settings (with the exception of shadows which i keep off cause they make it harder to spot things in dark areas).

I've played on an stock dell latitude e4300. Not the worst laptop I've ran mwo on. Lack of a decent pc with access to pawn shop level laptops so I've ran mwo on some dumpster worthy machines. I can play the game as long as I can get and keep a bare minimal 40fps at all times so I can play lights.

I use a Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 with the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 TI. 8GB RAM and SSD drive. Stock config from Dell for this unit. Runs just fine with all the levels of detail set to high. Fan does ramp up with playing, but it's not terribly loud. Does get warm, but not hot.

Bought it specific for MWO and never been disappointed in its performance. Hope that helps.

The laptop that I want to buy has similar specs to your Dell. So, yeah, thanks for that info. It's good to hear.
