Since the free camera in the mechbay they can't do proper scale comparison pics anymore, so we have to live with comparisons against those target practice stuff that is standing around.
An additional request for the comparisons: Either say the variants are the same size - i.e. the holiday hero is much easier to hit from the front due to his oversized arms - or show us the size difference between the variants.

They could easily drop in a private lobby and do scale comparisons against equally weighted mechs. It would take all of ten minutes to snap the screenshots.
Using the training grounds is literally just lack of effort.

The COR-7A had armor quirks on the preview page, but show only structural quirks in the mechlab.

First impressions; Holy hell it was worth buying the Ultimate. Its such a fun mech. I pretty much found a build I like for all of them sans the 6R.

Review: The hitboxes favor exposing the left and top to shoot, the right torso is very large, so try not to lead with it. The 7A and 6R are decent, because of high hardpoints and AMS capacity (7A). The rest of the variants are quirked the same, but require the use of arms which are very low and wide (in case of the 5R a few energy points short to be decent, in case of the 7R 3 missile points are in places that only allow 1 slot weapons) with little compensation in quirks to offset these shortcomings.
Conclusion: Get the standard pack to enjoy this refreshingly designed mech, which includes the best two variants. Avoid the collector's pack if you don't enjoy the 5R from the standard pack. Assuming you received the free Corsair hero, make sure to test it out and decide that you're ok with the wide low arms before considering the reinforcements and paid hero.
