Greetings sir(ladies), with increasing weight to bare on our shoulders, what should we do to carry our team to victory?, I only play quick play and will share some of my insight

I will start first with greeting everyone , and herd them towards a general direction with encouragement and tell rasters mechs to only flank but not abandon their assaults.

If the sheep’s are in a group there will usually be natural leaders taking over and I could zip dat yapper mouth of mine and enjoy playing mech warrior under the intense Aussie heat(like a mech’s cockpit) instead of playing mechcommander time and time again and do more talking then shooting

What’s your tale on putting clueless quickplay mechs into a 12-2 stomp?

Your wish...
Reverse the rain coat bro. Turn a 12-0 stomp into a 2-11 stomp. I did that once during an HPG skirmish match when red team forgot to bring jump jets Posted Image

was blue team cheering? Of course not, they were insulting because I was holding them up from their next stomp. But when you're outnumbered 12 to 1 you kinda have to be extremely conservative even if that means 11 minutes for 2 kills.

Take company command and place orders on the map for others to follow. Got comms, use that to. Keep talking and issuing orders for the whole match, not just start or once you've died. If you're going to take command, commit and take command for the whole battle.

And don't be that guy who criticises a plan unless you're going to assume command.

I often find that the volume of in game talk from someone is usually inverse to the skill displayed. Those that carry will just go and carry, those that don't.....talk a lot.

Certainly not a 12-2 stomp but we're talking about taking command (and/or open communication leading to something good), right?

A 3 (living) to 0 living roll, where once I made my first charge it was just enemy after enemy dropping. 6 kills 4 assists 1k damage while giving commands in the battlegrid, giving a loose tutorial for youtube of how to use it, and defeating my enemies with Heresy DPS builds in 2013, culminating into a final near-death showdown alone against an Atlas. Considering the sheer number of trial mechs on my side pre-PSR/pre-ELO, my team should've had the short straw.

There's this other one..

The Second Tip: My terms, not yours. (Taking control of the field)

As for something more recent.

Polar:
Wasn't leading this but there was a lot of communication. Initially everyone fussing about nascaring...while we did the nascar. Both teams did a big nascar until someone spotted an enemy. It very quickly devolved into a hill fight where both sides were playing a pop-and-squat trench shooter about a trench apart (to be fair it started many trenches away but both sides kept doing short rushes across the top to get one trench closer. I preferred to go through the trenches and along low hills around big ones myself but being left behind isn't really an option when your loadout's 90% LRMs). I'd point out the pests that tried to storm around the trench without popping over, while lobbing support fire to any targets that pop up over the ridge to shoot, mostly working to suppress enemies to keep them from rushing. Had to actually handle a couple of rushes of singular pests by myself, but thankfully it was just a couple of lights. Still that's not easy with just a pair of SRM-2s. At some point we had a 7 to 5 advantage and started to push. Plenty of backseat drivers helped out the final result.
Spoiler

Another one. No one was really commanding just decent communication and the reception there-of. Given my Archer I'm very curious about how the changes to LRMs are gonna affect command play. Here, as our group began to shrink in size we huddled around an area and I took a spot near the middle by a pair of assaults to give directions of enemy pushes and lob suppressing fire against enemies trying to flank us so our assaults could focus on laying down fire toward the main enemy line. Our lighter guys would scurry out to engage the flankers, come back when called upon and engage other flankers when they appeared.

Least until they didn't...then they were slaughtered going after that easy kill only to discover a chunk of the main enemy force decided to flank leaving behind a pair of their assaults and a heavy to trick us into thinking the front line hadn't moved. We soon had flankers rushing us and we had to take an exit. With keeping the Dire Wolf suppressed (but strangely not having seen it pop up for a while) and dealing what remained of the flanking force while backing up with (and a good 400 meters further from the enemy than) the King Crab (the Mad Cat II went off seeking glory against the earlier flankers alongside the Mad Dog and Lynx), a Dragon swooped around me from the side and I engaged. He got behind me and that was it. Between the Dragon now sneaking up behind the King Crab and the Dire Wolf ahead pushing the hill now that my missiles are out of the picture, I let the guys know of the final push.

@kon

Bragging about matches you had five years ago makes you come off as one of those 40 year old guys still going on about how he banged the prom queen in high school.

It's kinda sad.

You could <redacted> with your lasers to herd them to where you want them to go. <redacted> in the <redacted> will certainly work!

Had fun carrying yesterday..

Was dropping with BAE, both in LRM assaults.. went to several maps, carried several times.. Multiple times, She and I both, damage went over 1000+, while the next person in the whole match had less than 500..

Sweetest match was on polar.. She had 1000+, and so did I, several solo kills on both of us.. the rest of our team, highest damage was 516, while the other team had only 3 people brake triple digit damage.. Between the two of us, we solo-ed half the enemy team..

12:0 stomp, way to carry :D

When your teams meh and your low on carry juice, words can but not necessarily will make a difference.

Gotta roll dem word dice. meta word, herd cats etc. Mic and mech are optional.
Words can increase the effectiveness of the human element in games

FTW

If you out-damage 90% of all other members by double their best scorer, and you and your BAE together have 6+ kills and more than that KMDDs? I don't know.. I guess you can?

I mean, isn't that how ace of spades and deathstar achievements are made? By carrying such stomps?

You ever think that might be because the people up front soaking damage rapidly lose the ability to apply damage because you are sandbagging for higher numbers?
