So, with Lurmageddon quickly approaching, I am having a hard time telling what the game will be like in the coming days. Will lurms be all powerful? Will the sky truly be falling on Mercville? Or will the changes to the weapon system and its supplement equipment paint a Lurmageddon that is the death of lurms? Another possibility is that all the changes will just put the weapons system into a state of mediocrity.

In this thread not only do I want to hear your thoughts, I want you to show me your Lurmageddon warface. Show me what builds you will be sporting on the Eve of Lurmageddon. The only restriction is that the build you post must be viable and Lurmageddon themed (No joke or troll builds). Builds posted do not have to be lurmboats but they most fit the theme of the Eve of Lurmageddon. Yes, all missile boats and your Douchstrike sporting its tiny single AMS are welcome.

Share your thoughts and show me you Eve of Lurmageddon Masks.

Heres one of mine.

This change does not effect me since they have no bearing in ESO. My prediction is people will hate, people will cheer PGI, people will just simply stop playing the game.

Rather than respond to your responses on another wall of text.
We know where you stand.
Anyone not you is irrelevant.
Their opinion means nothing.
You're better than us.
SO..
Again.
Please.

so the noobs in the back will now experience major nerfage to their missile systems.
meanwhile the pros who fight up near the front will feast on tears.
my medium lrm5 builds are back.
my highlanders are back.
tag may now get removed from all my streak boats (that i never use).
put narc on all the things. its fun now.

As a casual mechdad, my take on this latest LRMageddon is the same as the last one, namely, its just more of the same of Chris’s “balance” and I just can’t bring myself to giving a f.... I expect nothing much will change. Yes, for a few days, maybe a week, everyone and their brother will run LRMs to test the new settings, and it will be annoying as hell, but then as has always been the case for the last two years, folks will return to MKII-B’s and their autocannon spam and other select vomit and gauss vomit builds.

Then Chris will provide us with yet another “balance pass” where he nerfs something totally out of the blue...probably something already mediocre...and we will have something new to piss and moan about, and this whole LRMageddon thing will be but a memory. More people will leave, wait times will continue to increase, and PGI will remain clueless.

Whatever happens, I will still build for the looks, play when I can, get called a teribad, and accept whatever crap PGI gives me until there is an alternative to this shi7show for a PVP mechwarrior experience. Just another month in MWO.

Well, I might keep the TBT-7M (2LRM15, 2ERML, TAG) the same for awhile, and see how it goes. I may however swap it over to 3LRM10, with a BAP for increased sensor range (seeing as the TAG is useless for anything other than cancelling ECM).

The ARC-2R (2LRM20, 5ML, TAG) will probably just get mothballed. It only has 3 missile hardpoints, so probably not worth trying to do any else with it, and not sure LRM 20 will be worth running. I could of course convert to MRMs on this one.

Those are the only LRM mechs I use.

The MWO we deserve?
Or the MWO we need?

The mechwarrior we will inevitably get. Our needs or wants are irrelevant to that. Russ made that clear a long time ago.

Ether Saga Online - Ether Saga Online is a free-to-play MMORPG developed by Perfect World with an item shop and a cute, anime-style art style. Based on a Chinese novel, the storyline includes fantastic elements like magic treasures and an evil general turned into a pig. The game features four races and eight character classes, each with their own quests and pets.
I didn't realise you played.
