The other day some PIR-1 stood still and I took him out with an alpha to the CT. He called me a cheater. It has only happened to me two or three times, since I'm not a very good player and can seldomly get a good shor in, but I've seen people on my team who call out cheaters on the other team, and I've never seen any evidence of it, only people trying to justify being killed. That's my experience, but it could be I'm not paying close enough atention.

So, does any of you have a different experience? Is cheating a problem in the game? Have you encountered obvious cheaters?

It used to be a problem a long time ago, not so much nowadays. Given the extremely niche playerbase, and how long it takes to climb the ranks, you really don't see any.

Search through YouTube you will see videos' of it. A few years back they did a sweep and banned quite a few players for cheating. Some notable ones as well.

What you're seeing there is an instance of a loser being a salty ****.

I hope you bathed in his tiny fishy tears. Piranhas have zero defensive anything, they could trip over a stone and leg themselves. When someone faces me in my Piranha I say my prayers and start flicking through my team mates in spectator mode.

I have never seen anyone obviously cheating, but I swear to God someone tried to Tk me on Grim this evening. One 'Mech left on enemy team on the other side of the map and I was mysteriously taking heavy hits to the rear. Hmmmm.

To put it simply...

It is NOWHERE near as big of a problem as a certain segment if the community makes out.

So minor and insignificant in fact that I would say it basically doesn't exist

I have ran into one cheater since I started playing a year ago. [Redacted]
Reported him with time of day, game mode and map. He got banned.

I’ve consistently played for going on 5 years. I’ve seen two instances worth reporting as what I perceived as cheating, both accounts were banned, so I don’t think my perceptions were wrong. There is one person currently in game that I strongly suspect is, but that is just a suspicion I have no proof, and hell at this point I don’t even care. Besides, it is just one person. One, and I am probably wrong and he is just super good at head shots.

That said, I played with a group for a couple years with a guy who claimed EVERYONE better than him was a cheater, yet I never noticed any aspect of others’ play that could be construed as cheating. There are certainly more than a few folks like that.

We all know your aimbot is older version that needs two test shots for adjustment before it can work.

In all the years I have played, I can only count on one hand the number of times I have witnessed a probable cheater. This doesn't mean they aren't out there, but they're pretty uncommon. Probably less than 1% of the active playerbase.

Also.. there's a reason why you don't see certain large groups anymore.. but that's just rumors and hearsay..

saw one yesterday, I was in a flea running 148 at a diagonal and 2 gauss shots in a row to the same component from damn near 1000m. Yup I don't care how l33t you are ain't no one that good.

Second: There probably still are some cheaters in the game. [Redacted] Beyond that... Not so sure.

Third: There are players so good they play what I call, "hacktasticly"... So good IT LOOKS like they're hackin', but they're not, they're just THAT good... (the [Redacted]...)

Sometimes miracle shots happen. I once one-shot a running Locust on Polar at 1000m w/gauss +ERPPC. It was a total guesstimate shot and somehow connected.
