It actually says they will be relesead for MC in November and for C-bills in December, people just have so much salt in their eyes that it prevents them from reading...

They changed the FAQ after they changed their minds on the exclusivity. Keep up.

Throwing in more bonus mechs at this point, on top of Maruader pack just reeks of desperation. Making them exclusives after April? Even worse. Just cements my resolve not to pre-order and wait for reviews of the game.

Let's see how many people get burned this time.

Don't get me wrong, if MW5 turns out to be a great game, I will pay full retail for it. And I hope it turns out great. But knowing PGI's track record..... Good luck.

They're EARLY ADOPTER rewards... If you buy a warhammer IIC pack, Origins IIC packs, Marauder IIC pack or any other previously existing packs that included early-adopter bonus mechs... you do NOT get them with your pack after the expiration date for the early adopter rewards.

WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED TO UNDERSTAND ?!

Honestly disappointed. More heavies than I'll ever use. We already got 3 heavies and 1 assault from the loyalty program in 2018, and just got 2 more assaults from the xmas. We already have been fed so many heavies and assaults on top of the Marauder II and Warhammer IIC also being released.

Then quit spending money... because the 2019 Loyalty program is going to introduce another five or six mech variants. The 2015 program was 3 mediums and 2 assaults. 2016 was four heavies, a medium and an assault. 2017 was two lights, a medium, a heavy and an assault. 2018 was a light, three heavies and an assault.

In the actual active game currently there are twenty models of light, twenty eight of medium, twenty seven of heavy, and twenty eight of assault. The next three mech packs being introduced are respectively an assault, a heavy and a medium. The problem however in a weight class system where there's only 4 sizes of lights (20,25,30,35), five of assault (80,85,90,95,100), four of heavy (60,65,70,75) and four of medium (40,45,50,55).. the numbers of chassis in the game will tend to balance out this way. I would lay odds that the nextf four packs after the Dervish will likely include another couple light mechs, another medium, and another heavy.

I am hoping the heavy ends up being the Crusader, and the lights include a stinger or wasp.

This is a bad take. You're welcome for the 4 more mechs available for c-bills in December btw. Just in case you want an extra even if you did pre-order.

No it's really not. It's what this community does. I'm not a "PGI can do no wrong" apologist by any means, but whenever a change is implemented in ANYTHING, pitchfork sales in the MWO community spike through the roof.

OMG, this event requires us to get a 500+ match score, it's too hard! we can't complete it in the time you put out. Add more time!

Hey PGI, I know i didn't support this mech release, but I should be able to participate in the mech release event anyways.

MUH LAZZORS?!?! DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!

I pre ordered MW5. Not for the free ****, but because i'm interested in the game. I appreciate the free stuff(and quite honestly the amount of stuff in the basic pack that was given out was like getting a free game) but I wouldn't be butt-hurt about it even if the FREE, EXTRA stuff they gave out for advance ordering their new game was split up between the tiers.

I don't think it's desperation. They are just trying to get as much money as possible with as little cost, and it really is very little cost. All they have to do is make the paterns. Digital content is free to give away.

I won't pre-order MW5 because I don't pre-order games. I'll care about MW5 when it's out and if it's good I'll buy it.

I care about MWO now because it's what I play now. One good thing about MWO's free to play model is that everything gameplay-related can eventually be earned with in-game currency. The real-money-only-with-a-time-limit exclusivity of these mechs would have been a change to that model. You can call objecting to that change 'whinging' if you want. I didn't grab a pitchfork. I was just going to leave.

Unfortunately it sounds like these are preorder only... good thing I already preordered. I mean its almost stupid not to between the MAD-II, the MC, and the 4 30% c-bill variants...

I have ~27,000 MC (of which I paid for maybe half?), already have a MAD II pre-order (I finally found a few builds I liked) and have so many C-Bill bonus variants (including ones of the 4 'mechs on offer) I don't *really* need any more.

And yay for clarification on and/or walking back the exclusivity!

There is a reason why this forum is called by a lot of people the Brown Sea. Entitlement with a bag of salt as side dish is really common, well atleast everyone gets what they started ripping their hair out for, even if non of these will do anything to the meta since there are already mechs with the same tonnage and max engine cap and hardpoints etc. Probably not even the quirks will be that good if there will be any at all. Even if i wouldnt be getting any of these free fluff id be more interested in the Faction Play changes etc.

Glad they changed their mind on the exclusivity thing!
I was already getting upset about such a **** move. Sad they needed people to tell them first what is OK and what isn’t.

On Mech builds,

I think I’ll try something like this first:
https://mwo.smurfy-n...e30b85aec1aad33
Depending on cooldown quirks and how they match.

Bout the marauder, I‘m not sure how this is not just a better MAD-5D (due to ECM) but with the same builds as the latter.
You can put 2 MRM30 in the same ST while keeping the LFE, so the symmetry doesn’t change anything.

This topic is a big issue. Originally PGI didn't say anything about releasing standard versions of these mechs in the game for MC or cbills. This move defeats their business model as a free to play game. It would put PGI in the same group as EA Games with Star Wars Battlefront 2. To be able to play Darth Vader, you have to spend $200 to unlock him as a player character. No amount of grinding in the game will unlock him.

Excuse my ignorance of Star Wars Battlefront 2, I'll ask a question of that situation and await a response(from somebody, not particularly you) before continuing with what I was going to mention.

Is Darth Vader in that game CLEARLY better than any other character/class attainable for free through the grind?

A question to PGI:

could you please provide some information on how a MW5 preorder will contribute to the 2019 customer appreciation reward programe?

Also, some preliminary information on the system requirements would be really helpful.

thanks a lot!

Disregard my quote on the Star Wars game. I still stand by my statement about not staying with the free to play business model.

Nothing about "Free to play" means that EVERYTHING has to be 100% available to the grind.

It literally means, you don't have to spend money to play the game. If it wasn't for their constant Giveaways during events, your argument is already blown to **** by having (S), Hero and (C) variants that aren't available no matter how you grind.

I'll leave the "business model" part alone...
