The Catapult smells like RACs or UACs + rockets.
The Warhammer is another energy boat, but it has Jump jets!
The Marauder has ECM, yay! MRM + Lasers, I guess.
The King Crab will be solid, like the other variants.

Thanks PGI, and thanks for making it a separate code which is very helpful for those of us with alt faction accounts. People may want to make sure to redeem the code for these variants from the Mechwarrior 5 website on their account before the various deadlines to make sure they get all the mechs (though its possible the code already takes into account when you preordered).

You don't need to have a steam account to pre-order mechwarrior 5.

Actually i think the suggestion is a timeline advance. Because they've been "relaxing" the dates of mechs for years. The kodiak 3... stock loadout... arrived in game springtime 2016... in the battletech lore the mech appeared in the mid 3060s and the game timeline was still in the mid 3050s at the time.

Everything I am dreaming of is Stalker Misery 2.0 with ballistics slots 1 per torso, in right torso instead of missile hardpoint. That's almost everything I wish for. 8 vs 8, old Therra Therma back and MWO will be the greatest multiplayer game I have ever played.

Or honestly just go all the way to eight hardpoints instead of just six, because not having any energy hardpoints is quite a weakness to have and the Catapult in general has been usurped by many power creep mechs. 6B + 2M would've allowed you to take MRM60 with 6 MGs.

A side note is that I referenced this Cat variant in a thread speculating about what the 2019 loyalty mechs would be. Funny how that one came true, though not in the way I expected.

They probably did 2B + 4M because the parts already exist for that configuration. 4B would require a bit more design work.
