I mean, I play a lot and feel like this is going to take most of the days the event is up.
If it were kills/assists it wouldn't be so bad.

I dunno, just doesn't seem fair to the more casual players or ones that don't have the time for 20 matches every day. They probably need the mech more than the ones who are playing all the time.
Or maybe I'm just used to having events completed in two nights of play time instead of 35% completed *shrugs*

I'm a casual player. I stopped playing MWO after December and only came back again 'cause of this event. I started playing MWO only mid-way through October last year. I hadn't played MWO before.
I understand what you're saying. The mech on offer could make a difference for retaining a new player or a casual player. But, if that player can't grind out some good results everyday, then I don't think that the said player would be interested in staying around to play MWO regularly.
It's a similar thing for me when I decided to try Crossout. I started about a month ago and after about 2 weeks, I didn't feel the need to continue playing regularly. So, I don't think any reward that I could've got and did get from playing Crossout made a difference in retaining my interest.
What can help with player retention is a good MM and the ability to quickly play a match with friends instead of waiting 10 minutes outside the peak hours to get a group match going. I mean, in my country, the only reason PUBG is doing well is 'cause, despite being lame, the people can quickly start a match with friends.

Although I would say that it wouldn't be terrible if it were KA's, K's and KMDD's. The issue I see is that making is KA's only is incentive to the MW community to back off on the killing blow. As in fight kinda hard but not to hard, you don't wan to kill him just get someone else to kill him...and that's over a 2 week period! I doubt we're all pulling back a ton, but I bet we're all pulling back on the margin! Cheery red CT?, Someone else can brush that....PGI didn't think hard enough about the unintended consequences of their event payout (or maybe they did and we're being trolled? - but unlikely). Make it KA's + K's and you don't skew the outcome playstyle of the event. We can quibble about 750 as a goal number (I'd vote for 7 or 8 per bag, but meh), the KA vs KA + K issue...I think that's a big deal.
Couple that with the total lack of any improvement in matchmaking, so you get more 12-4 matches than anything else - doubling your time to goal - and I really think it's a poor event goal.
Also, you only get 40 KA's in FP in 20 min if you win overwhelmingly. And that experience is NOT how normal FP drops go on average if you don't roll in a unit. Plus there's wait times, which are long right now so 20 min is not realistic.
Anyway, happy hunting.

CW is pretty damn good for phase 2, usually 30-40 assist a game.
and yes kill or assist would be a lot better avoiding kill shots because of event requirement is stupid.

So no, 750 is not too many - just play and it will happen if you are anything like competent and can stay alive late into battles.

The event requires 750 assists over 13 days, so that's about 1.6 hours per day on average to complete all 75 loot bags.
