I am getting instant solo queues but when I try and play with 1 friend we don't get in a game after 30 minutes and give up. I could understand if it was a large group, but it's me and one friend, throw us in any game, this sucks and it's really upsetting. Any known reason behind this?

Common problem, combination of low population and difficulty matching up teams of varying sizes. Bigger groups seem to have an easier go.

Yep, the group queue fill up alphabetically until all slots are filled.
Sorry, you're screwed. Sorry about that, eh.

Also why you don't see that many players with Z as the first letter in their name, they know better.

GQ literally smashes together any number of groups that will = 12 players per side. During post peak its like playing faction, but with less seat time and a lot more salt.

Anyway - The time you're playing - GroupQ has limited population. Same as when this thread came up last week, the week before and the week before that... If you guys are trying in the off-peak for the timezone and not in a 4-man then you're going to have a bad time.

Just how it is. Especially bad you're doing it on a Monday, the quietest day of the week.

Tune in next week for the inevitable thread about how they finally get games but it's dominated by 12 mans and there needs to be an ability to take a 2 man into the solo queue......

Its a vicious circle. Due to lack of groups you wait for ages and finally giving up, syncdropping and taking your group out of the pool for the matchmaker. Those answers like just play on "prime time" is not really helping. Most people do have things like a job and private lifes thus a set schedule.
