Mackenzie,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was looking at the Piranha vs Big Mech issue that way.

When a piranha runs up to the leg of an atlas or a cyclops, its no longer a fight, its just stand there and shoot leg while the guy in the cyclops can barely move.

This is where things are broken, the: 20 Ton Piranha can literally prevent a 90-100 ton mech from moving in the direction it is blocking, and the 20 ton mech cannot be knocked down or stepped on....

True. There needs to be some kind of threat that prevents pilots from just cheesing matches with mechs too short to be shot by the standard competitors in their division.

Maybe all mechs should just get an additional sixty degrees of torso pitch in Solaris, if it's too hard to add a feature where a mech sufficiently small can be crushed if it blocks a large mech for too long.

Give 'em four seconds to back off or allow the assault mech to step through the cockpit.
