Going full joystick should slow that down.

I'm actually considering that, at least for the aiming bit. The mouse movement to torso twist is something I'm still not doing properly. I do torso twist a lot but the amount of input I need to just turn a full 90 is crazy and I'm the guy who used moderate mouse input back when Quake 3, UT2004, etc., were popular.
I think that the joystick would help in torso twisting without frantically scrubbing my mousepad with the mouse although I need to work up the muscle memory to help with the fine aiming.

Hehehe I've been trying to stick with the light mechs with my Orion IIC during the weekend just to skirmish 'cause if I stayed with the "team", I'd wait in cover hearing missiles fly and later, lead the "CHHHAAAARGE" with everyone laughing at me, even my teammates.

You mean, like using the Ghillie or something? Hmmm... I need some medium mechs anyway. Gotta wait for a mech bay sale first though.

Try a trackball Frag, no mousepad scrubbing and more precise than a joystick. I use the Logitech MX Ergo, works like a charm

Whatever it is I do out there on the field has sure kept me to halfway up the Tier 2 tree. I wonder if I can regress that some more with these suicides of which you speak...

Oh, God, I'm used to the thumb buttons and now having a roll-y thing there with my thumb-twiddling to fire the lasers and looking at the sky instead of the mech in front will be quite a sight

I second the MX Ergo (especially if people are too chicken to use a joystick in MWO

FYI, I have never used a mouse ever since Logitech released their original rectangular trackball. We are 100% rodent-free at home. Besides, mice are so 20th Century.

As for the MX Ergo being more precise that a joystick, I think my HOTAS Warthog's 65,536-position resolution is plenty enough.

You'll eventually get used to it and will never want to go back -- hopefully.

When i pull a 1000+ dmg with 3-4 solo's and lose 12-4, i might mumble something on comms on how my Chiropractor told me it wasn't good for my back to carry so many potatoes at once. OH GOD MY BACK.
